All aboard for a new adventure! 🚢✨
Our French exchange students enjoyed a fantastic day trip to Cobh yesterday. They explored this charming seaside town and visited one of its most iconic attractions, the Titanic Experience Cobh, where they stepped back in time and discovered Ireland’s rich history while following in the footsteps of the passengers who boarded the ill-fated Titanic.
A fascinating and unforgettable experience for everyone involved!

At TechFest 2026, one message came through louder than ever: AI is not the future - it is the present, reshaping society, business, education and work in real time.
From cyber security and deepfakes to productivity, governance and the future of careers, the conversations highlighted both the extraordinary opportunities and the very real challenges ahead.
At Griffith College Cork, we are committed to preparing students not only to use AI tools, but to think critically about their impact on business, society and the future of work. As AI continues to evolve, education must evolve with it - combining technology, ethics, creativity and human-centred thinking to prepare graduates for a rapidly changing world.
Careers and Industry Liaison Officer Marion Courtney and Deputy Head of Griffith College Cork Sinead O’Dea were delighted to meet with BSc (Hons) in Computing Science student Manoel Leal, currently on placement with Cohesity.
Thank you to Tech Industry Alliance for another excellent conference and for providing valuable insights for us to consider.

Our ACCA students were delighted to celebrate the end of another successful year alongside lecturers Ger McCarthy, Noel Daly, Mike Ball, Donncha Collins, Jim Daly, Pat Carrig, Umesh Rana, and Peter Plant at a special gathering organised by Course Administrator Helen Long.
Our Professional Accountancy team had many reasons to celebrate this year, including a 100% pass rate in Corporate & Business Law (LW) and Performance Management (PM) in December 2025, followed by another 100% pass rate in Performance Management (PM) in March 2026 - under the guidance of Mike Ball (LW) and Ger McCarthy (PM). We now eagerly await the June exam results as Ger goes for a hat-trick! Achievements like these are exactly why Griffith College Cork proudly holds ACCA Platinum Status.
We also had the opportunity to say a heartfelt goodbye to our wonderful colleague Umesh Rana, who is retiring after 25 years of teaching and mentoring ACCA students. During his time with Griffith College Cork, Umesh guided countless students to success, including several ACCA prize winners, and made a lasting impact on colleagues and learners alike.
We would like to congratulate all of our students on a fantastic year of learning, development, and growth, and to bid farewell to the students who have now completed their tuition with us. We wish you all every success in your future careers.
