I wish to take this opportunity to thank Cllr Sheila O'Callaghan and especially Padraig O Sullivan for helping and supporting me to secure funding for our After School service. Due to a human error that I made while applying for the funding, I was first denied any funding at all for the service.

With the support I received from Sheila and Padraig, we can now keep our vital after school service open🙌🏻

Even though many new families have started in our breakfast club and after-school service, we still have some places available.

It’s been a lot of work but also so much fun to open the School Aged Children service in the community hall.
Unfortunately due to sudden drop of the attendance numbers, it is not financially viable to keep it going 😭 If we don’t get the attendance numbers back up, we have to close the service at the end of October.

Every time when we get to the end of the preschool year, it is always difficult to say goodbye to the amazing children and families who are moving on to the next step in the child’s education ladder ❤️
We always have the lovely memories to look back to, so here’s a take of our Spring/Summer memories….

Visit to care home in Leamlara (singing, making art, playing games together)
Visit to the garden Center in Castlelyons
Creating a wildflower bed
Planting vegetable seeds (which were chosen by the children from the garden Center)
Flower potting
Nature walks
Bringing teddies to a picnic
Visit FOTA
Playing, making art, learning, friendships, fun, exploring, experiencing, challenges, joy, love….
Putting up amazing Circus 🎪 show for the parents

Now there’s some beautiful memories for us to cherish 🤗

In Kildinan Preschool the children made their dads a lovely card and a present for dad’s to use on their desk….now their stationary items will never get lost 🤗

Working with children in all age groups have always been my passion. Each child and young person are important and in a community all should have their own place❤️

We are looking for a new team member to our new service in Watergrasshill 🙌🏻

Dear friends of Kildinan Preschool.

I am delighted to announce that from September 2023 onwards I am going to also be a preschool provider in the Watergrasshill community hall. We will also start offering after school care to all children from Junior Infants to 6th class, from September 2023 onwards.

My main “post” remains in the Kildinan Preschool and we will be soon advertising a deputy manager position for the preschool and after school care in Watergrasshill.

I have created a link to “expression of interest” form for anyone looking for ECCE (sessional preschool) or looking for SAC (school aged children) care.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers ❣️

In Kildinan Preschool the children made amazing lanterns out of glass jars as presented to their moms. They also made cute cards with a drawing of their mom and a lovely message inside 🤗

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone ☘️
We celebrated the day yesterday with parents/grandparents. With the children we had prepared to perform one Irish language song, one Irish language poem, ”I’m a little leprechaun” song and also a St. Patrick’s Day rhyme/poem where we also included our guests. Thanks to everyone who were able to make it.
Afterwards the children were looking for 10 hidden leprechauns around the room and they also enjoyed some yummy treats. 🤗

Our new cute furry friends have settled in preschool really well 🤗
Peter is a bit of a shy guy whereas Bobby is more adventurous ❤️
