inna Murphy, farmers wife, mother of two and a qualified childrens nurse. She has 20 years experience working in the preschool sector and holds a Level 7 qualification. Minna works alongside Fiona O’Donoghue and Siobhan O’Flynn. At Kildinan Preschool we nurture the natural curiosity of every child by providing a wide range of different activities such as; art, drama, music, literature, maths etc. Our teaching methods emphasise the importance of free play and exposure to outdoor and nature activities. All activities are carried out in small group settings which ensure that each child has plenty of interaction with our highly qualified and motivated teaching staff. So what do we have to offer? A purpose built building that is bright, spacious, cosy and an enjoyable environment in which to learn. A large safe outdoor play area. Animals to care for, such as chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. The children can also help to feed the newborn calves in the springtime. A kitchen garden is being established which the children can help with. Here they will learn to grow, care for and harvest fresh berries and vegetables. Children will be exposed to fresh air and contact with nature. Imagine, your children will be able to spend their time outdoors on safe controlled nature walks on the farm where they will learn to identify and collect specimens of all the animals, insects and plants that the local environment has to offer. Through these activities children will learn the basic principles of healthy living as well as caring for others and their environment. On top of that, they get lots of exercise while having lots of fun with their friends.
