The BA (World Languages) is a four-year specialist language programme. It aims to produce graduates All placements must be approved by the Board of Studies.

The weather was mostly kind and there as a real buzz on campus for the 2024 UCC Open Day. Lots of interest in World Languages at the programme talks and at the BAWL stand in the Main Restaurant, where we had information on the career paths of some of our graduates.

We are delighted to share that our very own 3rd year BAWL student, Ronan Keohane, has been selected as a finalist for the MyEU50: Ireland EU50 Youth Competition (https://www.europeanmovement.ie/)! This competition commemorates 50 years of EU membership in Ireland and Ronan is among just 3 finalists, having won the Southern constituency (out of all university-level entrants from 12 counties). His essay discusses the need for education reform/ relationship between education and society. Congratulations Ronan on getting this far, we wish you all the best for the final section!

Delighted to see out very own BA World Languages, UCC: CK110 student, Ronan Keohane, win today's Global Citizen Award at the UCC EmployAgility Awards. This award was designed to recognise students who stand out in their awareness of their place in the wider world. A global citizen recognises the part they have to play in the ever-growing world community and seeks to add to this community through their actions. This includes sharing values and practices which contribute to equality, fairness, and sustainability. Congratulations once again Ronan!
