Carraig Donn School of Music

***As per the government announcement earlier today and in the interest of Health & Safety, effective from tomorrow Friday 13th March all music classes at Carraig Donn will be postponed in line with the school closures. We will only re-open when the government deem it safe to. All parents will be contacted when we have this information.

We will work through the Easter break, ensuring that all missed classes during the enforced closure are made up. Should the government recommend us to remain closed for a further period, we may need to extend our term time into the month of June.

Stay safe everyone. Keep washing your hands and don't forget to look out for your neighbours and the elderly at this time.

Here at Carraig Donn we ask that all students wash their hands before and after class and if you like you can use anti-bacterial hand gel as well. All musical instruments are wiped down after each class too.

Carraig Donn School of Music is currently enrolling for classes for next term September-December 2019. We offer 1 to 1 lessons in Piano/Voice/Harp/Bodhran/Tin-whistle/Sean-nós singing and Exploring Music. There are already only a few spaces remaining. We’ve invited 4 other choirs to join us as we Bridge The City Through Song! You’ll find us singing from 7-8pm at Emmet Place (Beside The Opera House!).

We’ll then sing a few songs in Crawford Art Gallery from 8pm!

And finally we’ll have a more relaxed sing along in The Bridge Bar from 9!

For the past two years I have been the choral director of this fantastic choir in the Enniskeane Parish. This will be my third year working with the youth of our parish and I am really looking forward to it! We have lots of exciting projects planned for the year ahead. Rehearsals start back next Monday 17th at 7.15 pm. 🎶Baby shark do do do do do....🎶

Cór na nÓg Inis Céin youth choir is resuming rehearsals on Monday night September 17th in Enniskeane Church from 7.15pm to 8.00pm.
All are welcome from First Class upwards and including post-primary school students. Any child under 8 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at practices.
We already have a large group of boys and girls in the choir and they sing approximately once a month at Mass.

I believe everybody deserves their own unique way of expressing themselves and music is an ideal platform for this. “Exploring Music” lessons are for children of all levels of ability and is designed to make music a fun and interesting experience for your child. They will get to play a variety of musical instruments and explore different types of music from around the world.
