The next session “Page to Stage” explores how to move a scenario through to a speech and then how to present it in front of an audience.

It’s a quick and easy practice session designed for professionals and leaders at all stages of their career.

If you’re feeling blocked at work and want to learn how to present information better, join us!

In 2023 I returned to work after 6-years being at home with my two boys/pirates.

It took me everything to get back out into the world and speak up in a room full of strangers.

Here’s a handy cheat sheet I’ve put together, of what worked for me.

If you aspire to hold a position of leadership at anytime in your career; then, number 1 is the most important.

Get used to the fact that you won’t click with a lot of people, but as a leader you have to stay in the moment, and give every person time.

Not a long time, but enough for them to know your present, and taking their perspective on board.

Hope it helps!!!

If your audience is yawning, should you really be on stage?

Let’s face it.
Anyone can add “speaker” to their LinkedIn profile and use their title or position to land speaking gigs.

But here’s the problem…
I attend a lot of major events with familar names and impressive achievements. Yet too often, I see the same thing:

Audience members yawning.
People scrolling on their phones.
Energy draining from the room.

Your job as a speaker is to take them on that journey.
If you aspire to be a speaker:

Invest in your voice.
Shape your ideas.
Learn how to truly connect with an audience.

And you don’t have to jump straight to the keynote stage.
You can start small.

On 17 March ☘️, we’re hosting the next Story Space Community Session: “Page to Stage.”

In this interactive session, participants will practise how to:
• Quickly understand context
• Decide what matters
• Build a short response together
• Deliver the solution as a speech using prompts we explore in the session

The goal is simple:
To give you practical building blocks to organise your ideas and speak clearly when the moment arrives.

Simplicity isn’t where thinking starts.
It’s what emerges when you stay in the middle.
Next Tuesday in The Story Space, we explore:
The Middle Is Improvisation.

For anyone ready to hold the room before the answer arrives.
Join us next Tuesday February 24th 12-1pm (CET)

Thank you to the Lounge for an exceptional week.

A space where conversation was generous, ideas were challenged, and dialogue actually had room to breathe.

From leadership and technology to culture, care, and the courageous work behind progress!

Starting isn’t the hard part.
Continuing is.

Showing up when the room is quiet.
Speaking before anyone is listening.
Building something before it has a name.

Yesterday, The Story Space opened its doors for the first time.
Nervous. Energised. Full of questions.
Exactly how it should feel.

This is what building a practice looks like.
This is what community feels like at the beginning.

More to come.
More to shape.
More to say.

Storytelling skill is no longer optional. 06/01/2026

In 2026, ideas will move through people, not platforms.

The debut edition of The Story Space explores why organisations are actively seeking storytellers, what this shift really means, and how professionals can build a voice system that works beyond the room.

At this workshop at CERN, we explored:

→ Identity
→ Voice
→ Story positioning
→ LinkedIn narrative strategy
→ And how to build a story brand that aligns with your career goals and delivers value.

Participants shared that reframing storytelling as a career tool, not just a creative one, was a light-switch moment.

I left CERN inspired by its people: curious, brilliant minds committed to understanding the universe. And renewed in my mission to help experts articulate their expertise with clarity and visibility.

Social Media in family dynamics…

LinkedIn — the firstborn.
High-maintenance, impeccably presented, perfectly curated carousels… and somehow still gives you the least appreciation for all that effort. 😅

Instagram — the second child.
Gets the hand-me-down content from LinkedIn, plays a little looser with the rules, and honestly… who even knows what it’s doing half the time?

TikTok — the youngest.
Zero effort required. Feed it absolute nonsense and it will shower you with love, validation, and an entire nights sleep. 🎉

Facebook — the grandparents.
You pop in once a week to make sure everyone’s still doing okay and tell them you’ll visit more often.

X (Twitter) — husband.
Communicates almost exclusively through sports takes, political debates, and the occasional cryptic thought. 🤦‍♀️

Family dynamics…📱😂
