Another special evening at Cork Taekwon-Do ❤️

At the club we have a tradition that after the grading, you receive your black belt for the first time in front of the whole club and we invite the families in too.

A massive congratulations to Robyn, John & Yvonne on their promotion to 1st Degree Black Belt. All three have had different journeys to get to this point and it’s a accumulation of years of dedication and perseverance for them all 👏🏼👏🏼

And a big congratulations to Aoife Barry on her promotion to 4th Degree Black Belt 😍 welcome to the stripes club!

🏆Development tournament 🏆

White Belts & Yellow Tags were in action this morning at our development tournament. Well done to all 👏🏼

Lots of members stepped on the mats for the first time and gained invaluable experience ✨👏🏼

Last week at the AETF European Championships in Slovenia, something truly special took place on centre stage.

Our Taekwon-Do for All athletes stepped onto the mats for an inclusive competition demonstration of Patterns & Sparring.

Eoin Boylan & Daithi Owens represented Ireland and Cork Taekwon-Do 🇮🇪 it was an absolute joy to watch these lads on centre stage with Master Barry 👏🏼

Master Barry is part of the AETF Inclusion Committee and along with the other committee members are working hard for inclusion and opportunity in Taekwon-Do.

It was a very proud moment for our club, for Ireland and for Taekwon-Do to have members from Cork Taekwon-Do on the mats at the European Championships 👏🏼

It’s the accumulation of many years of work and really is showcasing what Taekwon-Do is all about - inclusion, respect, providing opportunities ✨

A special mention to Master Barry, a true advocate for inclusion at club, national & international level. It is something he is extremely passionate about and continues to champion & advocate for inclusion, awareness and opportunity 🫶🏻

Congrats to Master Barry who was chosen by the AETF Umpire Committee as the best male umpire along side Ms Viktoria Sokolovska of Ukraine as best female umpire at the European Championships in Maribor
