The Life Centre is a voluntary organisation offering an alternative learning environment to young people who find themselves outside the mainstream system. ''We firmly believe that there is no substitute for the optimisim, enthusiasm and inimitable energy of youth and with their well-established spirit of resilience and determination there is little these young people cannot achieve without the right guidance and support.''

We often celebrate our wonderful on this page for the way they show up for us throughout the year and we are delighted to showcase their generosity publicly.

Our friends at Red Balloon are our go-to supplier for our and we love to support a local company.

Every now and then, though, someone comes along and gives a really meaningful gift - silently.

Today, Red Balloon were the bearers of a huge anonymous gift from one of their clients. Our fab for tonight are a donation. We are so . We don't know who you are but we are so grateful for your kindness and for thinking of us in this way. The arrangements are and they will be appreciated by everyone tonight.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. 🎈🎈🎈🩷🩷🩷

Sailing Into Wellness are another great friend of the Centre. This year, they once more took young people out in and over March and April. We also changed it up this year with some of our young woodworkers going down to the boatyard in Kilmacsimon to work on the beautiful (more on that later).

We are so lucky to have so many who support us through their various programmes. One reliable organisation over the last few years has been Amazon.com, who provide the food for our annual but who also show up during the year with much-needed funding to take care of the small details that make such a big difference in the day-to-day of life here. It was great to welcome a team from the office to give them some insight into the long-lasting power of their consistent support.

Even can be fun! No, seriously. Our crew were blessed with the weather for the 6th Year Geography field trip to Myrtleville to investigate the processes of coastal erosion.
