A full-time, 120 ECTS-credits, taught course for composers.
Students receive weekly individual lessons and supervised readings, performances and recording sessions.The programme will include opportunities to participate in masterclasses with international artists as well as workshops with professionals operating in the international cultural sector.

CULTURE NIGHT at MTU Cork School of Music.
📆 Friday 18th of September, 9pm The Fleischmann Choir present "Songs for Shelley" The programme features choral works by Mozart and Arvo Pärt, iconic jazz standards and newly commissioned arrangements, with guest ensemble the Irish Project Ensemble and soprano soloist Mary Hegarty. Admission is free.

ANNOUNCING! Applications are now open for a new Adult Course: Singing from the Source. 🎼

Explore late Medieval and Renaissance vocal music from the source in this immersive evening course.

Before the advent of modern printed music, medieval musicians shared and preserved chants and other choral music using a range of older notational styles such as neumes and square notes that would evolve to become modern printed notation.

We are currently accepting applications for our Musicianship for Adults Course beginning in September.

This course is particularly suited to choral singers or parents wishing to engage with their children’s musicianship learning. Participants are introduced to the elements of pitch and rhythm through music‑making.

Congratulations to the 37 CSM students, graduates and staff who were part of the company for the recent production of The Sound of Music at Cork Opera House. The CSM company members, pictured here, contributed across the leading and supporting cast, creative team, orchestra and production crew.
We are especially delighted that COH created an Emerging Artist Ensemble made up entirely of students from our BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre, giving these lucky young performers their first professional contract. It was an extremely successful run that saw almost 40,000 people attend the show, we are very proud of everyone involved!
