Back by popular demand!!! Lucky Dip lunchtime classes are starting back next Thursday, 26th January in the Mardyke Arena. In the spirit of a ‘Lucky Dip’, participants will not know until they arrive on the day what type of exercise class is in store! UCC's New Year, New You is a six week programme running from January 16th to February 23rd. Needless to say that it's jam-packed with health, fitness & welbeing activities for staff & students. As part of BikeWeek, join in the UCC Secret Lunchtime Cycle TOMORROW (Fri).
Take a spin around the west of the city, on a scenic route and with little traffic around.
Explore some “secret” paths that you might not be aware of yet.
Starts at 12.45 from the Honan Plaza (back ca. 2pm). Bring your own bike, reserve a CampusBike or get a public CokeBike (e.g. at the Coffee Station opposite the Main Gates). All fitness levels welcome. Just register your interest with Stephan Koch. [email protected].

We are extremely excited to have secured renowned psychologist and psychotherapist, Dr Fergus Heffernan to deliver this workshop . Fergus, a leading educator in the area of stress management and how it relates to our positive mental health, will talk on ‘Creating Resilience in Tough Challenging Times’. We have received excellent feedback from individuals who have had the pleasure of attending one of his workshops. Fergus takes an honest, heartfelt and practical approach to the subject of mental health, stress management and provides plenty of material for ongoing reflection.

UCC and CUH are offering a lunchtime cycle this Wednesday (tomorrow), 13th April.
Find out about pleasant and quiet routes that connect the Mercy Hospital (and Tyndall) with UCC and the CUH.
Meet at 1.00pm at the Mercy Hospital (at the CokeBike station at Grenville Place / Henry St). Bring your own bike or grab a public CokeBike there (you need to be registered for the latter).
Start at 1.10pm at the Mercy Hospital or
Join in at 1.15pm at UCC (Coffee Station opposite Main Gates, CokeBike station)
Join in at 1.25pm at County Hall (County Library) or
Join in at 1.35pm at CUH (roundabout near the Dental Hospital).
Return via the Glasheen River, Brookfield, College Road, Gaol Walk (CokeBike station), Mardyke Walk to the Mercy (ca. 2.10pm).
MIX YOUR MODE:
There’s more activities during the week (e.g. Free Cycle Safety training near UCC on Thursday evening).
