What do you mean the Summer Holidays have come to an end??? ☀️☀️

The staff are back, the bookshelves are full and the school is ready!! We are just missing the most important piece, the kids!! We cannot wait to see all of our boys and girls in the morning for their first day of the 2026/27 school year!

From the boys and girls starting “big school” to the boys coming in to start their last year in Blarney Street and everyone in between; we have no doubt the year ahead includes many laughs, experiences and of course lots of learning and doing 🔵🟡

See you all bright and early and we can’t wait to hear what you got up to over the Summer👏🏼👏🏼

How lucky is every little boy and girl who have attended Sundays Well Montessori over the last 8 years. We couldn’t ask for better neighbours and our school wouldn’t be the same without Niamh, Laura and the wonderful boys and girls sharing our grounds.

Well done on 8 years in Business, a fantastic yet very well deserved achievement 👏🏼👏🏼

As we prepare to say Happy Summer Holidays at 12pm today, during the week the staff of the school and members of the board gathered to celebrate Mr. Murphy as his role as acting Principal is coming to an end. ⏳

Mr. Murphy, thank you from your colleagues, the children, the parents and the entire Blarney Street community for your dedication, kindness, care, leadership and work ethic over the last 5 years as acting principal. Since you took over in September 2021, your attention to detail and positive attitude has been infectious and in truth, thank you doesn’t seem enough. The 6th class thanked you on Monday, for all the work you have done, and for always finding the balance between being the boss and having fun; and this sums you up very well. 💙

We look forward to welcoming Mr. Lynch back as principal of our wonderful school in September, and hope something won’t have to be organised in secret for a good while yet; it is very hard to surprise the boss 🙈

Go raibh míle maith agat arís Mr. Murphy. 💛

Hands up if you’re excited to get your Summer Holidays on Friday!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

We will use the kids version as if staff did it there could be a few missing faces by the end of the week with some bad backs 🙈

Our wonderful 3rd class girls having some fun on yard today!

Yesterday was a bitter sweet day as we said “See You Later and Best of Luck” to our class of 2026. We say “see you later” in Blarney Street, as we love seeing our past pupils come back to us next year. 💙

The graduation ceremony last night saw the boys speak of so many memories that they had in school and it was such a special evening for all who were there. There were laughs, tears, memories and lots of fans 🥵 but it was something that truly showcased the spirit of the class of 2026 ❤️

The video below is just a snippet of what was shown last night and some special 6th class memories of the last few weeks. There were water fights, very naive teachers trying VR, anything but a bag, school tours, teachers versus students and so much more. 🎓

Charlie’s verse in the end of year Poem last night sums it all up;

As the sun sets on our 8 years here,
Although nerve wrecking; we have nothing to fear.
As Blarney Street has given us all that it can,
And now we must all aim to be the best young man,
That any of us can possibly become,
Through all the challenges ahead and also all the fun.

Thank you for everything Class of 2026, you are missed already 💙🎓💛

A huge well done to the Fantastic Class of 2026 in Sundays Well Montessori and their wonderful teachers, Niamh and Laura!! We are so excited to welcome some of you to Junior Infants in September. As we prepare to send off our own Class of 2026 next week, aren’t we lucky to have such brilliant kids getting ready to start big school with us! Where does the time go?? ❤️

As part of the Professor Fluffy Programme, our 5th Class pupils enjoyed a memorable visit to the University College Cork campus a few weeks back. ❤️

The day included a special graduation ceremony celebrating their participation in the programme, as well as a guided tour of the university grounds and facilities. The visit gave pupils the opportunity to experience life on a university campus, learn about student life, and explore the many opportunities that higher education can offer. It was an inspiring and enjoyable day that encouraged curiosity, confidence, and ambition for the future. 🎓🎓

The 5th Class pupils enjoyed an exciting and action-packed school tour to West Cork Secret, where they took part in a variety of outdoor challenges, team-building activities and an opportunity to brave the famous water slide. The tour provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to build friendships, develop confidence, and enjoy a day outside the classroom. It was a memorable day filled with laughter, adventure, and lasting memories for everyone (but not so much for wheover had to wash the lads gear after)!! 🙈🙈
