The talented 5th class pupils have just completed CLOuD (Climate, Literacy, Outreach, Inclusion, and Diversity)—a project by Education for Sustainability, funded by Research Ireland under the Discover Programme. CLOuD’s aim is to deliver climate literacy and STEM engagement to marginalised communities across Ireland.
You can see some of their climate actions expressed through a vibrant and educational art display in Hollyhill Library, the children's section from the 28th of May until the end of June.

A huge thank you to the CorkCity Hospitals Children's Club for their very generous donation of books to our school.
We are delighted to receive this wonderful gift, which will help to spread the joy of reading among our pupils. Every new book opens the door to imagination, adventure and discovery, and we know these books will be enjoyed by many children for years to come.
The Hospital Children's Club is a truly worthwhile charity that works tirelessly to support children and young people going through some challenging times. Our school is proud to support their efforts and deeply appreciates their kindness and generosity.
Thank you once again for helping us nurture a love of reading in our school community. 📖❤️
On Monday, June 1st, CorkCity Hospital Children's Club are running "Lap the Lough" again. They will attempt to surround Cork City’s favourite walkway with as many €1 and €2 coins as possible, in a bid to raise more money. It would be a lovely occasion to be part of if anyone is looking for something to do on the bank holiday Monday.

And just like that, our last feature of our player profiles with one day to go! Tomorrow at 10am in Pairc Ui Chaoimh our Sciath na Scol team take to the field for one last time this year. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
We finish the player profile series with Lucas, Keelan, Dylan, Paul and Ollie, with today’s selection showing players from 4th, 5th and 6th class. Charlie M is missing from these pictures and Lucas was so busy helping Ollie and Charlie with their profiles that his never saved either!!! 🙈
The boys have all been warned to take lots of water on board tonight and to rest up; and for the rest of us, lots of water too!! 💦 Maybe even some honey and lemon to help our voices get ready for the morning. We need the boys to hear us loud and clear!! 📢📢
Team bus will be leaving at 9am sharp and all supporters will leave at 9:15 sharp. See you all tomorrow!!

Countdown is well and truly on, none more so for 4 more 6th class boys who will represent their school for the final time in Sciath Na Scoil on Wednesday. Charlie, Kallum, Aaron and Conor have worked so hard this year both at their sports and in the classroom and we are so looking forward to cheering them on on Wednesday morning 💛💙
