Head of Physics at UCC, to give next Mondays (16th of February) public Cork Astronomy Club lecture.

Next Monday sees our Club's monthly free public lecture, where you will be welcome, UCC’s Prof Paul Callanan will discuss the current state and future promise of the imaginatively named Extremely Large Telescope at Cerro Armazones, a mountain at an altitude of 3,046 metres in the central part of Chile’s Atacama Desert. It is in the process of being built by the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
