Glenahulla National School Event Announcement/ Reminder & Communication Page It is thought that one such school existed in the nearby townsland of Glenahulla.

Glenahulla NS is, in fact, situated in the townsland of Cloughleafin. In the early 1800’s there was little state involvement in education – Hedge schools and schools attached to big houses, provided a basic education for the people. In 1883, local farmer Michael O’ Doherty donated a site in Cloughleafin to the parish of Mitchelstown for the purpose of building a school. The school

Huge congratulations to our Sciath na Scol teams who took part in finals today in sun drenched Kildorrery.

Our camogie team came up against a very strong Buttevant team, but never gave up and fought hard right to the final whistle, giving a very impressive performance in the second half. Well done girls and to Buttevant NS.

Our boys had an absolute cracker of a game against a very skillful Shanballymore team, thankfully coming out the right side of a one point victory. A game played at a fierce pace in really hot conditions, both teams must take great pride in their performance.

Our boys completed the double, after winning the football last October. An amazing achievement and one for the history books 💪👏🏆

Thank you to our supporters, teachers and parents who cheered on our teams today. Well done to all involved in our organising gaelic games in our schools.

Some pictures sent in from the day, with more to follow. Glenahulla Abú 🔵🔴🟢🔵🔴🟢
