A fantastic day was had by 5C, who are completing the LCA programme, during their team bonding trip to Padel Tennis Ireland here in Carrigtwohill 🏓

✨️ Student and Staff Achievements ✨️

Our wonderful staff and students didn't take the summer off when it came to achieving their goals!

First up, Taylor Harris from Rang Glen, along with her U16s' team, won the Division Two League. Taylor also individually won U16s' Most Improved player with the Springfield Ramblers. Amazing work Taylor 👏

Of course we have to mention our very own Ms. E. Murphy who was a vital part of the Cork Camogie team's All-Ireland victory over Galway. Ms. Murphy remains an inspiration to us all. Corcaigh abú! 🔴

The All-Ireland Champions kept coming as Darragh O'Sullivan, 5G, helped to bring home the cup to Cork after a thrilling victory over Tyrone. What an achievement!

Naoise Verling, Rang Íde, competed in the All-Ireland Rowing Championship in Bantry. He raced twice, in U16 and U18 categories. He received the Best Male Rower of 2026 award for Ballinacurra Rowing Club. Amazing to see Naoise! Keep it up and who knows... the Olympics are calling!

Ms. L. Murphy has also been inspiring us by running the Waterford Greenway Half-Marathon. Her fantastic time means we have a feeling more half-marathons are on the cards!

We are so proud of everyone's dedication, no matter the time of year! 💜

The Principal's Address will take place at 6.15pm.

New Year = Renewed Goals 🌟

As we begin our new school year, we take the opportunity to set ourselves fresh goals and remember our ethos and values.

1. Be Academically Excellent - try our best in every subject.

2. Be Organised - Use our journals and other tools to make sure we are prepared for all our tasks, setting ourselves up for success.

3. Be Inclusive - Celebrate the diversity and uniqueness in our school community and always strive to be inclusive.

4. Be Brave - Try new things! Challenge ourselves to go to a new Extra Curricular Activity and step out of our comfort zones.

5. Be Friendly - Always lead with kindness and respect in everything that we do.

We cannot wait to see everyone achieve their goals this year.

🇪🇺 CCC Erasmus+ Update 🇪🇺

This week we were thrilled to begin our own Erasmus+ journey by welcoming two students and their Erasmus coordinator to CCC.

Chiara and Eva come from IES Quartó del Rei in Ibiza and are staying as part of a Long Term Individual Student Mobility programme in our school for six weeks. Ellen Bogue and Megan Kavanagh are their fabulous hosts who, in return, will travel to the school in Ibiza in October for their own mobility experience.

We showed them around our school and prepared them for school life here in Cork! We got to talk about cultural differences and similarities and all the things we might get up to in the coming weeks. The students (and staff) are all very excited for this amazing opportunity!

✨️ First Year Update ✨️

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming our new First Year students, the future class of 2032, to our college community.

It was wonderful to meet so many new faces as well as some excited parents!

Our new First Years were welcomed by our Principal, Ms. Dundon, and their Deputy Principal, Ms. O'Regan, in An Croí, before finding out their new Class Tutors from their Year Head, Ms. Ring.

Ms. O'Regan gave the First Years two words of wisdom to remember at all times here at CCC and beyond: Honesty and Respect.

We will have many more highlights of our 2026 cohort over the coming weeks and years!

Best of Luck to our Under-14 starlet Molly who headed off today to UL to take part in the Gaynor Cup. This is the premium underage tournament and pits the best of each county in a week long inter country competition.

Her club, coaches, teammates and friends are very proud to see Molly taking part and we hope the Cork can bring back the Cup this week.

First up is tomorrow's match against Cavan-Monaghan which KO's are 4pm and the match is live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/live/cG7E488lzxo
