Alliance Française de Cork is the oldest French language and cultural centre in Cork #Ireland.

It is the organiser of Ireland's longest running French film festival, the Cork French Film festival. Start or continue your journey into French with Alliance Française de Cork. We have group classes and one-to-one tuition for all levels, from complete beginners to very advanced, for adults, second-level students, children, and university students.

Last week, AF de Cork President Valérie David-McGonnell presented MTU CCAD graduate Emma O'Riordan with the Alliance Française de Cork 2026 Solo Exhibition Award, as part of the ongoing MTU CCAD-AF de Cork annual partnership.

We look forward to seeing Emma O'Riordan's beautiful work in our gallery in the Autumn.

Congratulations to our student E. O'Shea who has won two tickets for the ‘Isabelle Huppert Reads Maupassant’ Cork Midsummer Festival event through our competition!

We are delighted to partner with the upcoming event ‘Isabelle Huppert Reads Maupassant’, a live reading by the acclaimed French actor Isabelle Huppert, featuring a selection of works by one of the defining figures of French literature, Guy de Maupassant.

This event is organised by the Cork Midsummer Festival and University College Cork.

What do former French President Charles de Gaulle, film directors Louis Malle and Christian Carion, singer Louane, The Three Musketeers’ writer Alexandre Dumas, and artist Henri Matisse have in common?
They were all born in the Région Hauts-de-France!

As part of the celebration of the Cork-France twinning during the Irish Presidency of the EU Council, and to celebrate the new ferry connection between Cork and Boulogne-sur-Mer in the north of France, we are delighted to organise an event about the Hauts-de-France region (north of France), at Alliance Française de Cork

on Wednesday 1st July, 7 pm:

- Discover interesting places to visit in the Hauts-de-France region (presentation in English),
- Take part in a short quiz,
- Try food specialties from this area of France.
