This page is where we will share upcoming dates, reminders and a little glimpse of what we get up to. Our next playgroup is Saturday, 26th September 2026 at Carriganima National School P12DW92.

Come along for a morning of play, fun and making new friends. It’s a lovely opportunity for little ones to play and explore, while parents can have a chat and get to know each other too.

A lovely day in the garden!
The children were so excited when Mr. Newman took them to the garden to pick some of the fresh produce. They had great fun exploring and carefully picking delicious raspberries, juicy blackberries, and onions.

It was wonderful to see their excitement as they discovered where our food comes from and enjoyed getting hands-on in the garden. A fun morning of learning, exploring, and enjoying nature!

Our new pupils are settling in very well here at Carriganima National School and are already enjoying becoming part of our wonderful school community. Pictured with their teacher, Ms. O’Riordan.

We are also delighted to welcome our new Senior Class Teacher, Ms. Flannery, to the school team. We wish her every happiness and success in her new role.

Relaxation Room
We would be delighted to welcome you to visit our new Relaxation Room, a calm and inviting space that has quickly become a favourite among the children.

Designed to support wellbeing and provide a peaceful environment within our school, the room has become a much-loved space where children can relax, regulate, and recharge. From the calming comfort of the egg swing to the sensory benefits of the ball pit, it offers opportunities for both quiet reflection and gentle play.

We are thrilled to see how much the children are benefiting from this new addition and would love the opportunity to share it with you. Come and see the room for yourself, explore our school, meet our staff, and learn more about the nurturing and supportive environment we provide.

School Tour 2026 – What a fantastic day our pupils had at MTU Tralee yesterday! The children enjoyed a wide range of activities, including friendly games, team-building challenges and plenty of opportunities to have fun with their classmates.

It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm, teamwork and laughter throughout the day. Experiences like these help create lasting memories and strengthen friendships.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the recent hurling blitz organised by Laochra Óg Hurling & Camogie Club. It was a lovely sunny morning, creating the perfect atmosphere for a fantastic day of sport and fun. Thank you to everyone involved in organising such an enjoyable event.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our quiz last night. It was a fantastic evening, made possible by the incredible support from our community.

We are especially grateful to our sponsors for their generosity, and to everyone who donated prizes and contributions. Your support helped make the night such a memorable occasion.

A special word of appreciation also goes to everyone who helped organise the event, set up, sell tickets, mark answers, and keep everything running smoothly throughout the evening, and to Grace for doing the honours and drawing the raffle tickets.

The support shown for Carriganima National School is greatly appreciated and means so much to our school community.

And finally, to all who attended and took part, your enthusiasm and participation created a brilliant atmosphere. We hope you enjoyed the night as much as we did.
