On this episode of Shush! Sounds from UCC Library, I’m joined by Dr. Małgorzata Krasnodębska-D’Aughton, Senior Lecturer in History at University College Cork.

Her research explores the cultural and religious worlds of the later Middle Ages, with a focus on identity, memory, sacred spaces, and models of sanctity. An award-winning teacher and widely published scholar, she also brings medieval history beyond academia through collaborations with museums, schools, radio, and theatre.

We talk about her research, libraries more broadly, and her music selection, which has a distinctly Polish flavour.

Getting ready to soundtrack the dinner for conference delegates tomorrow evening in Monaghan.
Have had the loveliest of tasks picking three hours of records to accompany the dinner.

Supposed to be finalising a vinyl playlist for dinner on Wednesday night.
And instead I find myself listening to all of No Sound Ever Dies album.
Sure I’ve plenty of time to get back to work 🤭

(And I have to say I absolutely love white vinyl. Dunno why but I just do)
