Happy Easter to all our students and families 🐣

As Feis Maitiu Corcaigh came to a close last weekend I would like to thank Timothy and all the fantastic staff for another superb Feis. Every student had the most wonderful experience and amazing memories were made. You provided an environment where each student felt comfortable performing and in turn were proud of themselves for doing so.
To my students, you are the real stars. From the first time performers to the seasoned pros, you made it all look effortless. Standing on that stage in front of your peers and an audience is winning alone. The most important thing is the experience and that you enjoyed it all. Your very proud teacher, Suzanne 🎭💛

Now that we have come to the end of our 2026 Feis, it is time to thank all the performers, their teachers and families for a truly wonderful Festival. ALL our adjudicators remarked on the high standard of performance that they encountered at the Cork Feis and come to expect from Feis Maitiú. I am very aware of the amount of time and effort that goes into preparing for the Feis along with all the other demands on participants and teachers. So a very special thank you for your commitment and contribution to our event.
While we rejoice in the success of all the prize-winners we also rejoice in the work and participation of each and every performer, no matter what age or standard, solo or group. The Feis is to encourage all participants to express thoughts and ideas, to share and communicate. The Feis is your opportunity to find your voice, to have confidence in communicating whatever medium is used, music, singing, speech or drama. So congratulations and well-done on your own personal achievement and success.
I wish to thank all the Accompanists, Adjudicators, members of the Advisory Board, TY students on work experience and our great team of Stewards who give so freely of their time and energy to ensure that the Feis can go ahead.
Preparations have begun for the 2027 Feis Maitiú, our Centenary Feis. A number of ideas have been put forward and we will be announcing some of them over the next few weeks. So keep a look out on our website and social media pages.
As we start the Easter break, I hope you will all have time for some rest and relaxation.
With every best wish,
Timothy McCarthy,
Feis Director.
