The Gathering is the Léargas annual cross-sectoral event, bringing together educators, learners and participants of Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps, and other EU initiatives for day of networking, knowledge-sharing, and celebration.

The Gathering will be returning as an in-person event this year on the 15 October at The Helix, DCU, Dublin 9, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Attendees can expect engaging panel discussions, workshops, and practical advice from established beneficiaries and Léargas staff.

Congratulations to Mary McCarthy on her recent Erasmus+ mobility to Split, Croatia along with CEF's from other ETBs around the country. Mary reported that the mobility led to a greater understanding of the difference between andragogy and pedagogy, observing that the enthusiasm of older learners in Split matched the enthusiasm of our learners in Cork, learning about the education system and culture of Croatia while affirming our own practice and skills in adult and continuing education.
