Journal Cover Competition
We received lots of wonderful entries for the journal cover competition.
The theme was "Bí cineálta" linked to our school community.
Congratulations to Vyta on taking first place with her beautiful design.
It captures the theme beautifully, while really bringing the four quadrants of our school crest to life.
The shamrock in the centre is very striking, along with the students, our pillars of respect, inclusion and care, and the school building itself.
There were 3 runners-up - Antonina, Noor and Zainab.
Well done also to Helen in 4th Year, who designed the cover for the TY journal next year.
The theme was also "Bí cineálta" but linking it with the Transition Year experience.
The result is very engaging, drawing in the learning, community, growth, friendships and challenges of TY.
We look forward to enjoying both designs on next year's journals.

Well done...
Well done to our 3rd Year student Riddhi on her recent success in badminton.
Along with her team, she qualified for All-Ireland Championship after wining the inter-county and inter-provincial mataches.
Last Sunday, they were playing the All-Ireland Graded Championship, division 2, Grade D, in the University of Limerick, where they won gold!
Congratulations to you and the team Riddhi, and we wish you every success in the All-Ireland Championship!!

Young Mercy Leaders
We have been incredibly lucky to have Aoibhe and Holly, both 6th Year students, as our Young Mercy Leaders this year.
After attending the Mercy Leaders Pilgrimage in Dublin last summer, both girls returned to school with a strong commitment to promote what it means to be a Mercy school. They worked together to share the values of compassion, service and respect with the whole school community throughout the year.
They presented to each year group and encouraged their peers to get involved in this form of faith leadership.
Each Thursday at 11.40, Aoibhe and Holly shared the Mercy Moment on the intercom -a reflection that they researched and created themselves.
It gave a few minutes for the whole school to pause, reflect and reconnect with our founding values.
These moments became a very grounding part of the week.
We are very grateful to both students for their dedication and leadership, and we look forward to welcoming the next group of Mercy Leaders when they take up this post in September.
Our photos show Aoibhe and Holly at the very start of their journey, right through to the last Mercy Moment they presented.

New Mural
Watch this space!
Our new mural next to the Astro pitch is still in progress — and it's already transforming what was once a plain, dull wall into something really special.
A huge thank you to Mr Hickey and his helpers for all their hard work so far. We can't wait to see the finished result!

6th Year Graduation
This week, we said a proud — and emotional — goodbye to our Class of 2026.
They arrived as nervous First Years, hidden behind masks and observing social distancing.
They leave as confident, mature young adults.
Six years of friendship, learning, and getting comfortable in one's own skin.
The graduation ceremony brought students, families, and staff together one last time to celebrate everything this group has achieved and all they are.
There were big smiles, a few happy tears, (some sad tears) and plenty of chat and reminiscing.
The choir was, as usual, amazing.
Thank you to Brother Simon for leading such a meaningful liturgy and thanks to all involved in creating such a special and memorable occasion.
Ms McGlade spoke of this group's resilience and character and sense of fun, and the very special mark they have left on our school.
To the Class of 2026 —remember that you will always be so much more than the number of points that you achieve in the Leaving Cert.
We wish you well in your preparation during the next few weeks. Believe in yourself - give it your best.
