Preschool:

Last week in Preschool we learned about NUMBERS! 🔢 We counted different things around the classroom, we painted some, traced, and made numbers out of play dough. We also enjoyed some water and ice play among other things. For our next topic we are learning about SPORTS 🏀⚽️

Toddlers:

Last week in Toddlers we learned all about summer! We sang ‘Oh Mister Sun’, played with some of our favourite sea animals in water play, and learned how we can all stay safe during hot weather, especially by wearing our sun hats and sun cream!🧴🧢🌞

We also celebrated two birthdays in toddlers and all enjoyed our delicious fruit monsters! 🍉🍓🍋

This week we learned all about colour mixing. 🟠🟡🟢

Babies:

Last week we were learning all about summer time here in the baby room. We started the week playing outside with water sensory trays, we played with sea themed sensory trays role playing the beach. The babies loved exploring this tray using buckets and spoons to collect and pour the water. We also sang some summer songs at circle time like “Mr sun”and “The seasons song.” Lastly we painted some suns to display around our room. We will continue to explore the theme of summer 🌞

All-Ireland Business Foundation

Preschool:

Last week we were very busy in the Preschool room learning all about bees 🐝 We had some art and craft fun making our very own bees and some sensory fun with rice. We all sat down and talked about how important bees are in nature and enjoyed getting creative with some playdough 😊

This week here in the Preschool room we are going to be learning all about our numbers ❤️

Toddlers:

Last week in toddlers we started talking about Summer. ☀️

We made ice cream cones by first colouring them and then adding different coloured paper for the sprinkles on top.

All the children are enjoying sharing their experiences of holidays so far.

We also had great fun out in the garden, as well as showing off our pretend sandcastles by using blocks in the room.

Babies:

Last week we were learning all about sports. We started last week singing songs like “I Can Be a Super Athlete.” We had a sensory tray with some paint and different shaped balls. The babies enjoyed rolling all the different balls in the paint. The babies also made an obstacle course last week using our soft play mats and stepping stones. The babies enjoyed taking turns on the course. This week we will be learning all about Summer 🌞

Preschool:

Last week in Preschool we continued to learn about manners and why we should use them.

We also had so much fun doing an experiment with baking soda and vinegar — it was fizzing fun 😊

We also had some water play with bubbles 🫧

Babies:

Last week in babies we were learning all about pond life.

We started the week reading the book “Ten Little Tadpoles.” This book explains the life cycle of a tadpole. We then painted a paper plate to make a lily pad for a frog made from tracing the babies’ hands. We also made some turtles using green crepe paper, sticking them onto a paper plate. We sang songs like “5 Little Speckled Frogs” and “5 Little Ducks.”

This week we will be learning all about sports.
