Last week was a busy and exciting one! 🍎🥕 We were learning all about fruits and vegetables, and the children had lots of fun creating their very own vegetable stand and exploring different fruits and vegetables through play and learning.

It was also a special week as we said goodbye to some of our friends who were moving on to big school. We are so proud of them and wish them lots of happiness and fun on their next big adventure! 💛

Next week, we will be learning all about new beginnings as we welcome some new friends who will be starting with us. We are very excited to meet them and help them feel happy, safe and welcome in our setting. 🌱

Last week in the baby room we were learning all about Jungle animals. We painted some snakes to display in our room. We also sang “Walking in the Jungle” while marching around the room, acting out the animals in the song. We role-played being in the jungle using our animal masks. We talked about all the different animals during circle time and the different noises they make. Next week we will be learning all about Autumn 🍁

Preschool:

This week in Preschool, we learned all about Space! 🌌☄️

The children explored the planets and the moon, and they had great fun painting their own moons. We also made rockets and aliens and enjoyed playing with all the other toys in our room and out in the garden.

Next week, we will be learning all about Fruit! 🥭🍏🍉🥑🍒

Babies:

This week in the Baby Room, we learned all about "Make Believe."

We continued our role play by taking off in a rocket ship while singing, "Zoom, Zoom, Zoom, We're Going to the Moon." We also enjoyed pretending to be dragons, flying through the sky and breathing fire.

To finish the week, we painted masks and decorated them by gluing on different pieces to create unicorns and dragons.

Next week, we will be learning all about Nature and Plants.

Toddlers:

Last week in toddlers we learned all about Shapes.

Together we learned the Shape song with hand movements and learned about other shapes that are not in the song, such as oval, diamond, hexagon, and octagon, which the children could see in our magnetic tiles.

The children enjoyed picking out the different shapes they could find around our room. Lego was a big favourite, and they learned that the bricks are square and rectangle in shape.

This week we will be learning about ‘Make Believe’.

Preschool:

Last week in Preschool we learned about transportation. ✈️🚲🚊🚌 We talked about the different types of transport we use to come to school. We made some vehicles out of shapes, had a big car wash in the garden, and enjoyed lots of water play and splashing. ☀️😄

Next week we will be learning all about Space. Have a great weekend, everyone! 😊

Toddlers:

Last week in the toddler room we continued learning about Space. We learned a new song called "5 Little Men in a Flying Saucer," learned the names of the planets, and made our very own Saturn and Venus using yellow playdough. We also read books about Space.

Next week we will be learning all about Shapes. 🔺

Babies:

Last week in the baby room we were learning all about Space. We started the week by role-playing a rocket ship taking off, counting to 10 and saying, "Blast off!" We also sang "Zoom, Zoom, Zoom, We're Going to the Moon" during circle time. The children enjoyed role-playing moon walking with the space projector shining on the floor. Lastly, we painted some planets to display in the room.

Next week we will be learning all about "Make Believe."

Preschool:

Last week in the baby room, we were learning all about fruits. We started off the week by exploring a variety of sensory water trays, including one with frozen fruit and another with chopped lemons and limes. We also enjoyed stamping and painting using lemons and limes.

During circle time, we sang and listened to different songs about fruit, including "Apples and Bananas" and the "Yes Yes Fruit Song." The children had lots of fun exploring the different fruits through sensory play, art, and music.
