1st Year Oysterhaven trip
Yesterday, 1st September, our First Years students had great fun in Oysterhaven, on land and in the water. They took part in team building exercises which gave them the opportunity to get to know each other in a fun environment. They were all tired but smiling on their way home.

History and Geography Tour to the Giants Causeway
After a good night’s sleep and hearty breakfast, we were all set for Day 2 of the Tour. Headed north we prepared to see the world-famous Giant’s Causeway. This UNESCO World Heritage Site never fails to impress; with its striking 40,000 interlocking basalt columns formed by volcanic activity around 60 million years ago. The students meandered down the road turning a corner to be faced with the dramatic scenery and picturesque views across the landscape. We sauntered over the hexagonal columns and scaled the hillside past the deep layers of columns towering above, and laterite soil to gain a better vista. A few good photos were captured before the rains enveloped the group, marking the end of the summer and end of an enjoyable tour for all.
We had a fantastic and busy two days of learning beyond the classroom. The girls were an absolute pleasure to bring away and commendable ambassadors for RMC throughout. We all look forward to our first day back in the classroom tomorrow.

Congratulations Holly O Hagan
Huge congratulations to Holly O'Hagan (6T), who has been called up to the Ireland Under-19 training camp, what a fantastic achievement!
Holly has also ben awarded a cap for her appearance with the Ireland Under-17s, recognising her outstanding contribution at international level. Adding to and already incredible year, Holly gave her first press conference ahead of the Cork City Cup final, which aired on Vigin Media News. History and Geography Tour to Belfast and the Giants Causeway
It was an early start on August 31st as 29 of our 6th Year History and Geography students along with Mr Farell, Ms Barry and Ms Noble set off at 7am for Belfast. Fuelled by plenty of snacks and good music we were ready for the long journey ahead.
Our first stop was the Shankill Road where the Black Taxi tour began with our guide Aoife. She beguiled the students with stories of The Troubles and her own post-trouble memories of growing up in a time where bomb clearances were common at school. As we drove down the Crumlin and Falls Roads Aoife showed the students how far the city has come since the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. A highlight was stopping at the Peace Wall, where everyone signed the wall and added a personal message of hope.
The second part of the day’s activities took us to Titanic Belfast. We walked the length of the ship’s footprint and looked out on the view taken from the bow where it had been launched in 1912. Students then explored the story of the shipyard, took a ‘rollercoaster’ ride through history and were moved by individual stories of the builders, passengers and adventurers who rediscovered the remains.
A short walk to dinner allowed us to stretch our leg as after a long journey and was an enjoyable way to end the day.

Congratulations to the Leaving Certificate Class of 2026
Congratulations to the Leaving Cert Class of 2026 on an excellent set of results today.
We are immensely proud of every student and their achievements. While there have been many exceptional individual performances, each student’s results are outstanding in the context of their own journey. Their success is a testament to the commitment, hard work, resilience and determination they have shown throughout their six years in Regina Mundi College.
We are delighted that 11% of our students achieved over 600 points, reflecting the school’s consistently strong tradition of academic excellence.
We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated teachers for their hard work and commitment, and to our parents and families for their continued encouragement and support.
We wish all of our students every success and happiness as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their lives.

Congratulations to Ellie O’Connor first year who won bronze in the minor girls high jump at the All Ireland Schools Athletics Championships in Tullamore.

To earn this award the girls have spent two years working hard on raising our awareness of the importance of choosing more sustainable modes of travel.
