A big farewell to two of our teachers, Noreen O'Connor, a traditional Irish music teacher and Kathryn Draper, a piano teacher. Noreen was based in North Cork and Kathryn in East Cork. They have taught many students in their long careers and we wish them a wonderful retirement.

Almost 100 years ago, Pádraig Lynch was born in Cullen, Co. Cork. He emigrated to America 30 years later having recently bought a Kennedy set of pipes from the Cork maker.
Today, the set is back in Cork and on loan to our student, Ciarán Farrell from Tadhg Lynch, Pádraig 's brother. Ciarán performed on the Kennedy set at the Cobh Heritage Centre last Friday, pictured here with Tadhg, and the Kennedy set.
