The Storytime Project Graduation 2026 🎓

We were delighted to welcome back 30 families for our Storytime Project Graduation celebration this year. The event took place in a the beautiful surroundings of the Marino Institute of Education on Griffith Avenue, providing the perfect setting for such a special occasion.

This achievement reflects the continued commitment and dedication of all involved, Dr. Joan Kiely, the team at Marino Institute of Education, Eimear Corcoran from Dublin City Libraries, our own Early Years Education team here at Preparing for Life, as well as the incredible families and children who bring the project to life.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Home School Community Liaison Officers, Early Years Managers, Pedagogical Leaders, and Educators who support and engage with this project throughout the year. We were thrilled to have so many local schools and early years services participate once again including, Bonnybrook Early Education Centre, Darndale Belcamp Integrated Childcare Service, Scoil Eoin Kilbarrack, Edenmore Early Education Centre, Moatview Early Education Centre, Scoil Chatriona, Dorais Bui, St, St. David's NS Artane, and St. Malachy’s BNS.

A special word of thanks for our guest speaker. Úna Woods, the renowned children's book author and illustrator, whose inspiring contribution added so much to the day.

We are incredibly proud of all the children and families involved!

Dublin City Libraries are hosting a fantastic "Parenting with Confidence" programme this April. This will involve workshops and events covering everything from child development to family well-being.

This is a great opportunity for parents, carers, and professionals to learn, share, and feel supported.

With the arrival of spring, it is also a lovely time to enjoy fresh air, new beginnings, and time in nature 🌸

Let's celebrate today by spreading smiles and cherishing simple joys, and nurturing happiness in the little ones who inspire us everyday!

This session, led by Deirdre Murray and Wendy Walsh from Better Start, will explore how Inclusion Coordinators can support the meaningful inclusion of Traveller and Roma children in Early Learning and Care and School-Age Childcare settings.
