Réalta Beaga is registered for the ECCE Government Pre School Scheme which provides children with two free pre-school years before they start primary school. The service is ideally located beside Rockfield National School helping to ensure an easy transition for children from pre-school to big school. The service offers a morning and afternoon session with no more than eight children in each sessi
on. The service is insured and holds a fire safety certificate along with a large fully enclosed,safe and fun outdoor area & direct access to a large field for outdoor adventures! The purpose of Réalta Beaga Pre-School is to help meet the childcare needs of the parents/carers and families in Coolaney & the surrounding areas. Whilst meeting these needs Réalta Beaga will provide children with an abundance of opportunities to play, learn, and grow, whilst helping to meet their physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs. The service will endeavour at all times, to provide parents with a high quality, flexible and accessible service in the heart of the community. Réalta Beaga exists because as an experienced Early Years Educator I believe children benefit greatly from being cared for in a smaller environment within a smaller group of peers where their every need can be met and their every word can be heard. This service will provide children with a well maintained, safe and secure building that is warm and welcoming at all times whilst also conforming to best practice standards. Children will have opportunities to engage in free play, exploratory play, creative play and physical play, with a great emphasis being on outdoor play.
