Just after the set up, we had a super fun workshop today with families at Ballinrobe Festival! We even went on a bear hunt together 🐻 Thanks to all volunteers from Tacu Family Resource Center for all the help!

Our next Philosopher's Hat Club meeting explores the contested boundary between individual guilt and collective responsibility. Using examples like Germany after WWII and drawing on thinkers from Jaspers to Arendt, we examine how nations reckon with inherited shame — and whether belonging to a group makes us answerable for its crimes. Are you guilty of what your country has done, or only responsible for what you do next? Does the collective guilt accomplish something? Can it be atoned? Can a person bear genuine moral weight for wrongs they did not personally commit? These and other questions will guide the conversation.
