Tiger Widows Organisation

Tiger Widows Organisation works in the poorest communities in Sundarbans India. Tiger Widows Organisation raises funds in Ireland for self-help-groups in India.

Our partner organisation are Digambarpur Angikar. The funds are used for training women and girls in income generating projects such as organic farming, animal husbandry, needle-work and sewing, crafts etc. We make loans available to the women following the training so that they can start a business and earn an income. This helps those in poverty and leads to options for health and education. Bein

Hi friends and family📢, I am reaching out to you again, asking to see if you could spare a few euro for the people of Sundarbans. We have invested in a solar panel and an egg incubator to raise chicks from eggs. Approx 20 hatched chicks 🐣🐣🐣🐣will be given to 600 poor and destitute women/ families on three islands who have no other livelihood means. They live in an extremely vulnerable location with cyclones💨 and storm surges (tidal waves 🌊driven by cyclones) which wipe out their houses and belongings. We have already provided training and chicken coops, but now we need to buy 12,000 eggs to hatch the chicks so I need to raise about €700 to deliver this program- to alleviate poverty for the poorest of the poor in this community. The women will be able to provide regular daily meals for their families🥚🍳🍴 and sell surplus eggs in the market. If you could spare anything at all please donate on the website- thank you so much for your generosity 🙏🙏💐 🐅 www.tigerwidows.org .....Sinead
