A Final Farewell to the Class of 2026 🎓

Today, we said a final farewell to our Leaving Cert and Leaving Cert Applied classes of 2026, celebrating their fantastic results together at a coffee morning in Cistin Essex.

Their secondary school journey began in circumstances none of us could have predicted. Starting school during Covid meant adapting to restrictions, uncertainty and a very different experience of education. Since then, they have continued to navigate change, overcome challenges and grow along the way.

If there is one quality this group has demonstrated time and again, it is adaptability. They have already experienced a level of change that will serve them well in the years ahead — whatever those years may bring.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved, in their studies and beyond. More importantly, we are proud of the people they have become. We hope they leave with good memories, strong friendships and the confidence to embrace whatever comes next. A special mention must be given to Eimear Quinn, Ciara McMahon and Mary Farrelly who achieved the highest points in the school this year accumulating an outstanding 613 points 👏

Best of luck to the Class of 2026. It has been a privilege to watch you grow, and we wish each and every one of you every happiness and success in the next chapter. 🎓💚

Today, August 25, is St Louis Day, a day in which the Sisters of St Louis remember their founders, but also celebrate what it means to be a Sister of St Louis. On the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Sisters of St Louis in 1992, Sr Máirín Barrett RIP published a book called “Words to Live By”. In it, she outlined eight Key Words, which explains the essence of what the Sisters of St Louis are about. These are: Sint Unum, Truth, Family, Love, Providence, Childlikeness, Simplicity, and Give Freely, and can be traced right back to the early days of the Sisters of St Louis.
