We’re delighted to welcome all of our pupils and staff back to school on Thursday for the start of another school year! 🎒📚✏️

This year promises to be an especially exciting one for our school community. We are delighted to begin a new chapter with our new principal, Mr. James Leahy. We’re also very excited to welcome the opening of our new special class — a wonderful addition to our school.

We hope everyone has had a happy and restful summer and is looking forward to the year ahead. We can’t wait to see familiar faces again, welcome some new ones and make plenty of happy memories together.

We were delighted to see our students come together to celebrate and promote our school value of kindness. As part of this initiative, the children worked collaboratively to form the words “Be Kind,” each taking their place to create a powerful visual message.

Theo spoke on behalf of the Bí Cineálta Committee about the importance of kindness and reminded us all of the positive impact it can have on those around us.

“The value that we have been showing over the last few months is kindness. It is lovely to see people being kind to each other by helping each other, sharing, holding the door open and picking up litter. We have heard people speak kindly to each other by speaking respectfully, using their manners and giving compliments. When we are kind to each other, our school is a happier and safer place to be.

We would like to say a special thank you to Daniel O’Shea and Mr Quinlan for drawing out the letters ‘Be Kind.’ We know this took time and energy. In addition, we would like to thank Ms Walsh for bringing in her drone and taking the photo.

Please continue to be kind and make our school a nicer place to be!”

Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and participation in this meaningful activity.
