Event Date: 19th – 25th July 2026
Closing Date for applications: 31st January 2026

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE FOR APPLICATIONS

The TTCT is a one week long residential course held in Monkstown Co. Dublin. Founded in 1980, the Comhaltas TTCT (Teastas i dTeagasc Ceolta Tíre) is specifically designed to equip teachers of Irish traditional music with the skills to effectively provide music education in a wide variety of settings.

Comhaltas SCT Traditional Music Exams are open for 2026 registrations since November 1st.

Registrations for 2026 close on Jan 31st 2026, 12pm.

Payments deadline for 2026 is Feb 20th 2026, 12pm

Research Projects for Grades 6, 7, 8 must be uploaded by Mar 1st 2026, 5pm.

Comhbhrón ó chroí do chlann Geraldine O'Callaghan, ceoltóir den scoth agus iar-scrúdaitheoir ceoil le Comhaltas Scrúdú Ceol Tíre (SCT), a cailleadh inné.

Sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Geraldine O'Callaghan (Freemount, Co. Cork), who passed away yesterday. Deeply respected for her musical skills and knowledge, Geraldine contributed to the work of Comhaltas Scrúdú Ceol Tíre (SCT) over a number of years in the role of music examiner.
