Ann Keating O'Neill is the Manager & Montessori teacher & Aideen Clancy is Room Leader and Montessori Teacher. All staff have up to date training in First aid and Pediatric first aid and Child protection. We are fully Tusla Compliant and we are awaiting the 'Healthy Ireland Preschool award from National Children's Network.

Shining Stars Montessori Preschool is located on the grounds of Lisronagh National School. Our ethos at Shining Stars is to provide all the children attending our Preschool with a stimulating environment where they will be safe, secure and above all happy. Each child will have equal opportunities in that they can grow and learn through their own experiences and therefore reach their full potential. play and all other daily activities will have the opportunity to develop holistically. Our Curriculum is based on the children’s emerging interests and we use Siolta (National Quality Framework and Aistear (National Curriculum Framework) in our service. Our teaching philosophy is to observe each child as an individual with the ability to co- construct their own learning under the guidance of their teachers. Choosing their own activities which can be carried out on their own with a friend, in a group or assisted by a teacher. We have a routine which includes lots of play based learning, music, art, physical exercise both indoor and outdoor, group time with songs, stories, rhymes,but most of all fun. Early childhood Education, Diploma in Montessori Teaching, First Aid and other relevant qualifications. All staff Garda vetted and experienced. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 12.00 noon and children can attend from 2:5 years to 5:5 years of age. We participate in the Free Preschool Scheme which now covers children from the age of 3. There are 3 different entry points during the year. September, January and April. Our Story

Shining Stars Preschool Lisronagh ‘Where learning is Fun’ Ann Keating O'Neill and Aideen Clancy are the two early years professionals working at Shining Stars Preschool.

We are a fully Tusla Compliant award winning preschool, we recently had our Department of Education (DES) Inspection and we were deemed to be an exemplary preschool.We also have he recognition of being a Healthy Ireland Preschool from The National Children's Network.

We are located in a prefab on the grounds of Lisronagh National School and follow almost the same school calendar. Our ethos at Shining Stars is to provide all the children attending our Preschool with a stimulating environment where they will be safe, secure and above all happy. Each child will have equal opportunities in that they can grow and learn through their own experiences and therefore reach their full potential. The children through positive rich interactions. play and through other fun activities, have the opportunity to develop holistically. Our Curriculum founded in the Aistear Curriculum Framework is an emergent one and follows the childrens interests, we are also underpinned by Síolta (National Quality Framework) in our service. Our teaching philosophy is to observe each child as an individual with the ability to co- construct their own learning under the guidance of their teachers. Choosing their own activities which can be carried out on their own with a friend, in a group or assisted by a teacher. We have a routine which includes lots of play based learning, music, art, physical exercise both indoor and outdoor, group time with songs, stories, rhymes,but most of all fun. We are both quaified to Level 8 Early childhood Education and Ann recently graduated from Mary Immaculate College with first class honours in the LINC (Leadership for Inclusion) course and is now an Inclusion Officer (INCO) in our service. Ensuring children of all abilities are included in our service. All staff asre Garda vetted and we have a Designated Liaision Officer on staff (DLP).

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 12.00 noon and children can attend from 2:5 years to 5:5 years of age. We participate in the Free Preschool Scheme (ECCE).
