Lads!!! Who would have thought taking and picking a photo would be so stressful!! 😅 So here it is anyway the face behind the business!
I’m Tanya ,obviously! Of Tanya Creed Designs formerly the pottery hut. I create hand built, slab built and slip cast ceramic giftware in my home studio in Clonmel, Tipperary. mostly working with porcelain.
Heres a few bits about me .... 💙 I have a degree in ceramic design which I started in L.S.A.D in 2004, I took a little detour in the middle of 3rd year and had a little baby boy who funnily enough turns 14 tomorrow!! 🎂I then finished my degree in the Crawford in Cork driving up and down every day with a 3 year old cheering me on all the way 🎓 💙I am now mammy to 3 kiddies! Aged 4, 6 and 14!! And my little fur baby fluffy who you may have seen in my stories, we are joined at the hip! He loves being a studio doggy! So crazy busy all of the time! 💙 I love all things art and crafts!!! I’m a greedy artist and if I could make another 24 hours in the day I would paint, draw, sew and knit every day!! But clay is always my go to.
💙 The pieces I enjoy making most are anything related to the sea. The beach is my happy place so when I get to bring any beachscape to life I’m at my happiest! 💙 I like to get to our mobile home in Wexford every summer as often as I can. I live for early morning sea swims, bbqs and crab fishing with the kids! Side note the crabs are always left back in, the kids race them down the pier!! 🦀
💙 I’m ridiculously camera shy unless full of cocktails, but I’m working on it! 💙new website launching tomorrow!!! So that’s enough for now and if you got to the bottom of this post fair play to ya!!!

❤️I’m afraid but also so so grateful that I have to close my Xmas order books for 2 weeks.
I am currently working on a high volume of orders for xmas and working on stock for shop sales.🙏🙏🙏

Unfortunately this year material, frames, packaging, post etc are not as prompt as they usually are which makes giving accurate timelines to customers very difficult. I would hate to disappoint and have to acknowledge I’m only one person and can only get so much work done in a day 😅

Once current work is finished and shipped out I will open the order book again but places will be limited to get work out in time for xmas .

Again thanks so much for the continued support iv never had to close my order books this early I really appreciate it 🙏🙏🙏

Just a little post to welcome everyone to my new page Tanya Creed Designs, formerly known as The Pottery Hut. Unfortunately I had to set up a new page as after a million attempts to change my name on the old page I finally gave up! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Hate losing all the followers I had over there but there was too much confusion going between my Instagram page, branding etc . So here we are, fresh start!! Feel free to invite friends or share the page I would really appreciate it 🙏

Looking forward to making for old and new customers alike. As always all the support is very much appreciated, the likes, the shares, the buys, the commissions and the messages of encouragement, especially in these trying times.

Have been wanting to make a little jewellery range for a while now but the to do list just seems to keep getting longer , which I won’t complain about 🙏 this is a gift for a new mother to represent her two kiddies made in delicate porcelain,but it would make a lovely gift for any occasion. New to my collection, hand made slab rolled imprinted high firing porcelain candle holders. ⭐️

The fern imprinted piece is hand poured with eco soya wax infused with an anti-anxiety essential oil.🌿

The lavender Imprinted piece is also hand poured using eco soya wax infused with a sleepy time lavender essential oil and dried lavender from my garden. 🌙

Both pieces can be reused after use as trinket holders, tea lights or re filled by me in studio.🌸
