3rd & 4th Class enjoyed an ice-cream afternoon today! Ms. Maher & Ms. Wilde had a little ice-cream shop set up with cones, different flavour ice-creams, syrups and toppings! They also brought teddies in to enjoy the experience with them! They were then playing board games together afterwards โ€“ there were especially a lot of chess matches set up - maybe something to do with the Student Council Chess Tournament over this term!! Summer is definitely coming!!๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿจ๐Ÿฅณ

4th Class have been taking part in a fun project over the month of June called โ€˜Teach the Teacherโ€™. Each student has planned and taught a lesson to all the others students in the class, as well as Ms. Wilde! It has been great fun and everyone has learned a lot of new things from the variety of lessons that have been taught. We had lessons on the history of Cahir Castle, John McGrath, Keepie Uppies, Jellycats, How to Create Stickers, Darragh McCarthy & Free Taking in Hurling, Prehistoric Animals, a Volcano Experiment, How to Make Rocky Road, Parrots, Geography of Volcanoes, Liverpool and Free Taking in Soccer, The Secret Messages That Lay in Countries Flags and Powerful Penguins! It has been an amazing month full of great lessons of all different types! Well done to all of 4th Class for the effort they put into their lessons โ€“ they did extremely well and taught the rest of the class and Ms. Wilde a lot!! ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿฅณ

A big Thank You to Brendan Mullan (one of our students Fathers) for coming into us today to give a demonstration on beekeeping! It was so interesting and the children had lots of questions which he answered for them! Some even tried on the beekeeping smock!๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฉ

4th Class helped 1st & 2nd Class with some research on countries participating in the World Cup this summer! They researched countries of their choice on the iPads. Shared activities like this are lovely opportunities for older and younger classes to work together and interact. It is lovely to see the care the older students take with the younger students during times like this!โšฝ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ‘

3rd & 4th Class were delighted to receive their โ€˜Letter to My Future Selfโ€™ back! They wrote these letters to themselves at the beginning of the year and walked up to the Post Box in the Village to post them! They read through their letters, some had achieved the goals they set, some couldnโ€™t believe how much their writing had improved throughout the year but they were all excited to open them and read what their past-self had thought, wondered and hoped for! It was such a lovely experience! ๐Ÿ“ฌ๐Ÿ“ฎ๐Ÿ’Œ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘
