🌿📚 Special Author Visit at Muddy Boots! 📚🌿

We are so excited to announce that Laura Kennedy will be returning to Muddy Boots Preschool on Tuesday 23rd June!

Many of our families will remember Laura as our wonderful Forest School Leader. We are delighted to welcome her back as the author of *Wondering Wild: Let Nature Be Your Guide*.

Inspired by the Celtic calendar and the changing seasons, *Wondering Wild* is full of nature connection activities that encourage children and families to explore, wonder, create, and connect with the natural world.

During her visit, Laura will be leading exciting outdoor activities with the children, including making nature bracelets and creating miniature playgrounds for woodland creatures. 🌱🪵🦔

Copies of *Wondering Wild* will be available to purchase on the day for a special price of €15 (RRP €17).

We can't wait for a day filled with stories, creativity, muddy boots, and nature-based fun! 🍃

👟🌟 Our little preschoolers are getting ready for their Barnardo's Toddle Walk! 🌟👟

The children will be taking part in a fun toddle walk to help raise money for Barnardo's and the amazing work they do to support children and families.

Parents and carers are welcome to sponsor their little one if they wish. Sponsorship is completely optional, and every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.

💛 Please return any sponsorship money in the envelope provided by 25th June.

Oh a huge congratulations to Laura on having her book published. For those of you that do not know Laura, she used to be our forest school leader when Muddy Boots first began. She is a wonderful person with a real enthusiasm for outdoor learning and exploration. She is very inspiring. We hope to welcome Laura to Muddy Boots again one day soon to do some little activities with the children and sell her book. If you cant wait until then, pop into the book store. Well done Laura we are thrilled for you Xx

So delighted that Wondering Wild has found the perfect spot in Charlie Byrne's Bookshop. Thanks to Méabh for her trust in and enthusiasm for this little book that is slowly making its way out into the world. To see my book, so beautifully illustrated by Siomha Reid Design, on the shelves of my favourite book shop is such a joy.

Oh the excitement that ice cream brings to children! We can't share anymore photos because it's tongues licking ice cream and little faces smiling! We are feeling very thankful for the lovely 🌞, we hope it keeps shining a little longer.

The Ice Cream Van is coming to visit us this Thursday! 🚐✨

Our children will be enjoying a lovely summer treat with:
🌼 Preschool children at 11:00am
🌿 Afterschool children at 3:30pm

Earlier this week we welcomed the animal roadshow into Muddy Boots. The children in both Preschool and Afterschool really enjoyed this experience meeting some animals they wouldn't normally get up close and personal with!

From all of us at Muddy Boots Preschool and Afterschool we would like to say a huge thank you to all of the wonderful children and families for coming to muddy boots today to our Open Day. We talked, ate cake and talked some more. We cant wait to welcome your little ones in the new academic year.

🌿 OPEN DAY AT MUDDY BOOTS 🌿

We are so excited to welcome both our new and existing families to our Open Day on Saturday 23rd May!

☀️ Preschool Families
Please join us in the morning to meet your child’s room leaders and educators, explore the rooms, and enjoy some tea, coffee, juice, and cakes with us.

🌟 Afterschool Families
Families joining us for Breakfast Club, Bus Hour, or Full Afternoons are invited to attend from 1pm onwards to meet the team, view our beautiful Afterschool environment, and collect registration packs.

This is a lovely opportunity for children and families to become familiar with the service, ask questions, and enjoy a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere before the new term begins.
