The children have settled very well into the Acorn room. During the month of September, we did different themes. We began with All About Me, this involves getting to know about family and friends. we then moved on to health and hygiene this includes hand washing, nose picking, and cleaning our teeth. They made binoculars and a treasure box which they used on their nature walk. The children also made an Autumn wreath. They have enjoyed learning and exploring during this time.

!!!IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!

Unfortunately due to the increasing temperatures in the building this morning we have no option but to close early. We are asking that all children be collected by 12:30. As a working parent myself I am so sorry for the inconvenience this will cause today but it is out of our control as we must adhere to Tusla Guidelines at all times.

We will reopen as usual tomorrow.

Dear Parents,
As you are all aware tomorrow is meant to be extremely hot and many Creche’s in Clare, Limerick and around the west of the country have decided to close for the day or close early. As it stands we will be open as usual tomorrow. In the event the temperatures get very high and we cannot keep the rooms at a safe temperature for the children under the Tusla Preschool Guidelines we will have no option but to close early as we have no air conditioning in the rooms and are relying on electric fans to keep the rooms cool. We will try to give as much notice as possible if we have to close earlier than usual.

Our concern is mainly with the under 3s groups around nap times as the room temp must be between 18-22 degrees during sleep times.

If you are in a position to keep your child at home tomorrow or collect them early please consider this.

Thanks Lisa
