ππAIRC FESTIVAL 2026 ROUND-UPππ
Congratulations to everyone who took part! Ye should all be so proud! π
βοΈIn the P2 dressage we had Isabelle Maher and silver earning themselves a respective 65+%.
βοΈ Aisling Carmody and Porsha did their first ever showing class taking part in the Vetern showing! They gained some valuable experience!
βοΈ Dearbhaile Kelly and Coco entered into the coloured cobs and did very well! A quick wardrobe change and they were down to 80s performance hunter, coming 8th in a very large class! The judge loved her!
βοΈ Clodagh Stapleton Clipping and Herbie went clear the 90s Performance Hunter.
βοΈ Karen Maslen and Mindy had a go around the 80s Handy Horse obstacles and throughly enjoyed themselves!
βοΈWe were delighted to put forward a team for the 80s competition! After a training session with Fionnan, they were good to you! Aisling, Izzy, Amy Casey and Kayleigh Murphy from Golden Grove Riding Club took on the challenge and did us proud! This was Izzy's and Silvers first 80 and Amy and Charlotte's first big show! Well done guys!
βοΈFirst thing Saturday morning saw Clodagh and Herbie in the 90 SJ taking the first clear of the morning, on the Sunday they took part in the Top Score earning themselves 350 points! Cleared the Joker but unfortunately the bell had just gone!
βοΈIz did very well in the 70s open SJ and Aisling was spectacular in the 80s SJ, her first time on grass!
βοΈClodagh and Dearbhaile took on the 90s Team SJ, joining Mary D Clonshire Riding Club and Sally Ryan (3 counties). This was Dearbhs and Coco's first 90s and they absolutely smashed it! The Team took 6th! π Woohoo!! Thanks to Clonshire for letting us join!
Of course it wouldn't of gone as well without the help in the background! Thanks to Fionnan O Brien for all the lessons and listening to us whinge.
And most of all thanks to ThomΓ‘s, Aoife Carmody, Orlaith Jones and Cathal for all their help over the weekend, helping us get ready and talking us off the edge!
A great weekend all round but now its time for some well deserved rest!
Until next year!! π¦π

β Meet our final AIRC Festival Rider & Horse Profile β
Last but certainly not least, weβd like to introduce Dearbhaile and her lovely pony, Coco (aka Coco Loco! π€).
Festival veteran Dearbhaile is looking forward to competing in the Performance Hunter classes this weekend, as well as cheering on her fellow Clonlara members in the team showjumping. After plenty of preparation (and even more cleaning of her white pony! π), they are all set for Mullingar.
One of Dearbhaileβs favourite things about Clonlara Riding Club is the incredible support from fellow members, something that shines through at every event.
We wish Dearbhaile and Coco the very best of luck at the AIRC Festival this weekend! πππ

ππNext up in our AIRC Festival Rider & Horse Profile series is Amy Casey and Princess (AKA Chaz)! ππ
This will be Amyβs first time competing at the AIRC Festival, and sheβs looking forward to taking part in the Team Event this weekend in Mullingar.
Princess is very much the boss of the yard and, much like her fellow Clonlara festival teammate Porsha, is never far away when carrots are on offer! π₯π
Amy and Princess have been preparing with local shows, group lessons and practice at home.
When asked what she loves most about Clonlara Riding Club, Amy said:
βThe group of friends β everyone really looks out for one another out and about. Itβs very welcoming.β ππ
We wish Amy and Princess the very best of luck this weekend. Have a fantastic first Festival experience and enjoy every minute of it!

πππ Next up in our AIRC Riding Club Festival Rider & Horse Profile Series is Aisling Carmody and Porsha! πππ
Aisling and Porsha will be representing Clonlara Riding Club at this yearβs AIRC Festival in Mullingar, and we canβt wait to follow their journey over the weekend.
This will be Aislingβs first time competing at the Festival and sheβs especially looking forward to the Team Showjumping, while also keeping an eye on the Handy Horse class. π
Together theyβve been busy preparing through training sessions, lessons and competition outings, making sure Porsha is looking and feeling her very best for the big weekend.
One thing we know for sure if there are carrots around, Porsha will be happy! π₯π
A special shout out also goes to Aoife, Aislingβs sister, who is always there to lend a hand, offer support and cheer them on every step of the way. Having a great support crew behind you makes all the difference and Aoife is certainly part of Team Porsha! ππ
