Huge congratulations to the Clare U14 Kennedy Cup squad on winning the Kennedy Cup Shield in UL last week.

It was a fantastic achievement for the county, with Clare gaining silverware at the tournament for only the fifth time in the last 30 years.

Caimins were well represented, with eight students selected on the 20-man Clare panel. In the Shield Final, a 3-0 victory over Dundalk, the Clare team featured a full Caimins backline & goalkeeper. All of the lads did exceptional throughout the week across the six games.

The lads enjoyed a brilliant week in Limerick from Monday to Friday, making savage memories & playing plenty of soccer, representing their clubs, county and school with great pride throughout the tournament.

Well done to all involved.

Well done to 2nd year student Glen Hughes on a fantastic performance at the schools All Ireland Track & Field competition last week in Tullamore. Glen took home the bronze medal for Caimin’s in the 1500m in what was a very close race. This finishes an amazing season for Glen in both track & cross country.

Congratulations and thank you to our first and second year students who raised €4,400 for Hospice Jinja in Uganda. The students organised an Easter egg raffle, a jersey day and a fun run around the school grounds to raise the money. Their now annual fund raising endeavour to support the hospice, school and Nile Og GAA club in Jinja is a clear indication of their social consciousness and compassion. Well done to all who supported our pupils.
