About Us
Lissycasey Laugh and Learn is a community based Early Years Setting providing full day care
and sessional service for children from 5 months to 13 years. Our Early Years Practitioners aim to ensure that each child’s learning, development and
well-being is facilitated within the daily life of the service through the provision of
appropriate learning opportunities and positive interactions
which emerge from the child’s
own interests. We ensure children experience a welcoming, happy, inclusive environment that is
appropriately designed for the child’s age and stage of development, whilst remaining
flexible and adaptable. Parental involvement is always valued and appreciated in Lissycasey
Laugh and Learn. Main Objective
The main object for which the Company is established is the advancement of the childcare and educational needs of children between the ages of 5 months and 12 years within the Lissycasey, Co. Clare and surrounding areas by the provision of accessible and affordable childcare facilities, access to quality pre-school education and access to quality after school care. Our Aim
Our mission is to provide high quality care and education at minimal costs so that all
children in Lissycasey and surrounding areas may have the opportunity to attend our service. We value the ability, individuality, and cultural background of all children by providing each
child with the opportunities they need to reach their full potential as active learners within
an inclusive ethos/culture. At Lissycasey Laugh and Learn, we achieve care and inclusion in education by continually
reviewing an anti-bias approach that is implemented by the early childhood service. By
working in partnership with families, we ensure that the education and care provided is fully
inclusive of all children, families and agencies that attend and use our service. Our Staff
Our carefully selected staff are all qualified childcare professionals, who cater for each child's social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs, creating an environment that is warm and friendly. All our Childcare assistants have a Fetac Level 5 or above and our ECCE and Pre-school Leaders have a Fetac Level 7 or above qualification. Our Services
• Full Day Care (over 5 hours)
• Sessional – (3.5 hours)
• Half Day Care (Under 5 hours)
• Pre-School including Free Pre School Years (ECCE)
• Before School Care- Including Breakfast Club
• After School Care- Including Homework Club
Schemes We Offer
• ECCE Scheme: The Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE) is a Government funded initiative that provides two free pre-school years to every child in Ireland between 3-5 years.
• National Childcare Scheme (NCS) provides financial support to help with your childcare costs.
• There are two types of childcare subsidy for children over 6 months of age.
