“In mythos and fairy tales, deities and other great spirits test the hearts of humans by showing up in various forms that disguise their divinity. They show up in robes, rags, silver sashes, or with muddy feet. They show up with skin dark as old wood, or in scales made of rose petal, as a frail child, as a lime-yellow old woman, as a man who cannot speak, or as an animal who can. The great powers are testing to see if humans have yet learned to recognize the greatness of soul in all its varying forms.”
~ Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Summer is a good time to reboot your body. Tai Chi is a portal into yourself and your relationship with our fragile world. Your Inner Ecology is tied to "the Environment" which is not "out there". YOU ARE the Environment. If you neglect your own body, how can you really care about the Earth? Your first imperative is to yourself. Then you can help others from a position of strength. Whitestrand is an inlet near Spanish Point. As a small beach nestled between Spanish Point and quilty its a calm and safe option for bathing. The rocky shoreline looks out towards the ocean with headlands on either side.
Parking and toilets are available with a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. The beach has a blue flag in operation.
Those interested in a walk can head out to the right from the parking area, follow the cliffs edge for great views and reef breaks.
Swimmers can go in from the beach or walk out by the cliff until you reach the steps down to a calm and crystal clear bathing area.
White Strand is a highly recommended Ecotherapy visit because it is calm, safe and unspoiled. The cliff walk is dog-friendly however there is a ban on the beach 10-6pm for the Summer months.
