Parents Information Evenings

There will be information meetings for the sacramental classes of Shannon Parish 2026/2027 in SS John and Paul Church :

Communion - Wednesday September 9th at 7pm
Confirmation - Thursday September 10th at 7pm.

We invite parents/guardians to join us on these evenings. It is not necessary for children to attend these evenings but they are welcome also.

We are meeting the schools this week and early next week to plan the dates for the sacraments. We will have dates confirmed for the meetings on both evenings.

We wish all of the boys and girls from our summer camp a fabulous summer. Thanks to all of them for their participation and in helping to make it such an enjoyable two weeks for everyone. There was lots of fun had with numerous activities and we were so fortunate that the sun was high in the sky.

Stone Art creations by the children. They came up with their own designs and patterns. The finished pieces captured elements of each child’s unique personality.

We had such a brilliant morning with Ger and his mobile farm. Thanks to him and to all of his animals for being so friendly to us. The children loved the experience.

Sound Baths with the amazing Agnieszka today gave all of the children the opportunity to relax and to reset for the day ahead. It gave time to ground ourselves as we were bathed in the sound of vibrations from chimes, gongs, singing bowls and drums.

Thanks so much to Shannon Fire Station for bringing Alpha 2 down to our summer camp in St. Senan’s today. The children really enjoyed their experience, I think the opportunity to use the hose to extinguish the pretend fire was certainly the highlight. Lots of great pictures with smiles from the day.
