September Group Classes — Little Musicas 1 & 2
These are the most exciting classes and a wonderful introduction to music for any child...and adult! Imagine a class where your little one can play drums, percussion and ukulele, learn musical notes and rhythms, get demos on all the instruments in the school, colour the music — and play in a ROCK BAND!! Plus Little Musicas 2 students also learn the xylophone and the recorder.
Yup — all that and more. These classes are the beginning of a child’s musical journey: full of fun, discovery, creativity — and NOISE!!!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF WONDERFUL NOISE!!!

Class Details
• Little Musicas 1
o When: Saturdays, 10:00 – 10:40
o Ages: 3–4 (parent/guardian attends with child)
o Focus: Play-based introduction to rhythm, basic instruments, singing, movement and early music notation through games and activities.
• Little Musicas 2
o When: Saturdays, 10:50 – 11:30
o Ages: 4–5–6 (children attend without parent)
o Focus: Progression to more structured activities: ukulele basics, xylophone, recorder introduction, ensemble play, reading simple rhythms and collaborative performance.
• Start: September 6th

What to Expect (Weekly)
• Warm-up songs & movement
• Instrument demos and hands on play (small percussion, drums, ukulele)
• Rhythm & note games using colourful visuals
• Craft: “colour the music” activities to reinforce notation
• Ensemble play and group “Rock Band” sessions
• Little Musicas 2: xylophone & recorder practice, simple melodies, early reading

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the term children will:
• Recognise basic rhythms and simple melodic patterns
• Develop early aural skills and listening attention
• Experience cooperative group playing and turn-taking
• Build fine motor skills and confidence with simple instruments
• Enjoy performing in a small group setting

Practical Info & What to Bring
• Little Musicas 1: Parent/carer stays and participates.
• Little Musicas 2: Encourage independent participation; collect promptly at 11:30.
• All instruments provided. If your child has a small recorder or ukulele, they’re welcome to bring it clearly labelled.
• Please inform us of allergies or special needs when booking.
