A great day of experience and learning for our 6 Wolfhound Muay Thai fighters who took part in yesterday’s Curadh Muay Thai Interclub🙌
👏 Davi Ramos & David McQuillan stepped into the ring for their first ever demos and both gave a fantastic account of themselves.
💪 Evan Copps was back in the ring for the second time in a month and showed huge improvement from his first outing in July.
🔥 Niall McCarthy returned to the ring for the first time in two years and had a high-paced demo against a tough opponent from SBG Cork.
👊 Anthony Cashman put in a strong performance against a much taller opponent and showed great determination throughout.
🥊 Nina Majchrzak stepped in for two demos, showcasing her skills against two very technical opponents.
A lot of valuable experience gained by everyone and plenty to take back into the gym! 💪
A big thank you to Gerry and all at Curadh Muay Thai for hosting the event. The idea of running a monthly series of interclubs is a brilliant way to give newer fighters valuable ring experience and a platform to showcase their skills.
We’re already looking forward to the next one on Saturday, September 26th!

Well deserved celebrations yesterday for our three fighters after a very successful weekend at the WKO World Championships 🌎 🇮🇪🥳

Nina Majchrzak:
🥇 15/16yrs 64kg Thaiboxing.
🥇 16/17yrs 64kg Thaiboxing.
🥈 15/16yrs -68kg A-Class K1.

Jake Walsh:
🥇 20/25yrs 64kg Low-Kick Kickboxing.
🥉 21/25yrs 64kg Thaiboxing.

Jamie Todd:
🥇 +19yrs 62kg A-Class K1.

They deserved the celebrations after all the hard work, consistency and dedication they put in to their training, and we're really proud of them and their achievements over the weekend🤝

Huge thanks to everyone who made such an effort to celebrate with us yesterday, it means a lot👏👏
And a massive thanks as always to our biggest supporters at Geary's Bar for putting on a great evening for us, and for their continued support throughout the years. We wouldn't have been at the world championships this year of it weren't for their help raising funds for the club. We're extremely grateful for their support🙏🙏🙏

🥇🌍 What a weekend at the WKO World Championships!🇮🇪🔥
An incredible performance from our Wolfhound Muay Thai team:
🥇🥇🥈 Nina Majchrzak – 2 World Championship gold medals in Thaiboxing and 1 silver medal in K1.
🥇 Jamie Todd – WKO World Champion gold medalist in the K1 division.
🥇 Jake Walsh – WKO World Champion gold medalist in the Low Kick division.
🥉Jake Walsh bronze in the Thaiboxing division.
An outstanding achievement from all three fighters who represented both our club and Ireland with pride. 🇮🇪🐺
A full breakdown of their performances and the weekend's action will be posted tomorrow. Celebrations tomorrow at 3pm in 🥳🥂🙌

Jamie, Jake & Nina weighed in without drama and are ready to go tomorrow 🌍
Between them they're going to face English, German, Belgian, French and Ukrainian opposition in their respective divisions for a chance at winning gold and coming home with a World Championship belt 🥇🏆🇮🇪

This day week our three fighters Juke Walsh, Jamie Todd & Nina Majchrzak head to the UK for this year's WKO World Championships as part of the Irish team 🇮🇪🌎🥊🥊
They're registered in three categories, Thaiboxing, K1 & Low-Kick Kickboxing, and will have to compete in multiple fights to get to the finals for a chance at continuing the success we've had over the past few years and bringing home a World Championship belt and 🥇🏆🇮🇪

We want to give a huge thanks to everyone who has helped with the guys preparation in the lead up to this event👏 And we also want to say a massive thank you to our top supporters at Geary's Bar who ran a fundraiser for us towards the end of last year which has enabled us to travel to this event without the burden of trying to raise funds to cover the expense🤝🙏🫡 We'll be holding a celebration for our fighters at Geary's on Sunday Aug 2nd, more details will be announced soon...👀
