🌤️ On Saturday last I facilitated my second “Breathe & Be You” mini retreat for sensitive girls - sharing mindful breathing & compassion-based practices ( based on Creative Mindfulness Kids Training ), a child-centred sound-bath experience, art, creativity, connection, outdoor exploration & fun in the stunning space & grounds of The ACRE Project, Celbridge .
Thank you so much to the absolutely beautiful, kind, caring & creative girls who joined me😊.
It was so lovely to welcome new faces & to watch others (who attended previous workshops/classes) settle, relax & rest into the practices & guided meditation/visualisation ( kind breathing meditation) with so much ease!! The girls enjoyed getting comfortable & cozy on yoga mats, and also experienced a mini sound bath experience before getting creative! Time spent outdoors in the sensory garden🌳🌼🌻🍃 was welcomed & thoroughly enjoyed too. We were blessed with a little sunshine 🌤️ (for a change!).
Thank you again girls for attending - I am already planning for, & looking forward to, my next event/mini retreat!!

Thank you so much to the beautiful girls who joined me for “Breathe & Be You”- my first ‘creative, relaxing & restorative mini retreat for sensitive girls’ today. (Based on Creative Mindfulness Kids Training )
Together we explored mindful breathing practices, short gentle meditations, a mini sound bath experience, art, craft, creativity & meaningful connection in the beautiful space at the Acre The ACRE Project, Celbridge.
The girls made the most vibrant mini mind jars ever! A few extra mini mind jars were made to bring home to siblings🥰. The girls enjoyed practicing meditation snuggled up in blankets, on yoga mats, wearing fluffy socks (a little gift to all present).
The meditation I chose for today was a ‘kind wishes’ meditation based on Louise Shanagher “Kindfully Me” series. During this meditation, the girls quietly sent kind wishes to their hearts, minds & bodies - ‘may I be safe’, ‘may I be healthy’, ‘may I be happy’ 😊.
While the girls visualised a beautiful bright light✨ radiating from their hearts💕, they ALSO sent these kind wishes to family, friends & everyone in the whole world! Well done girls ☺️! This was so beautiful to witness!!
However, the highlight of the day (according to the girls!!) was the mini sound bath experience🎶! My sound bowls, rainstick, ocean drum, tibetan chimes & koshi bells etc were a big hit! While the girls lay on their mats, they enjoyed listening to the myriad of sounds. We chatted afterwards about how it felt to ‘just listen’, how the sounds made us feel, & what thoughts & images came to mind whilst listening!
A huge thank you to all who joined me today - my heart was so happy throughout this mini retreat. Thank you girls for being your beautiful, bright, beaming selves🙏. Please use your little take-home gifts as your reminder to keep shining your light 🕯️ ✨.

My 'Wellness Warriors' Workshop today at The ACRE Project, Celbridge based on the Creative Mindfulness Method Creative Mindfulness Kids Training 🙏💗
A huge thank you to the beautiful brave, kind & curious children who attended! I loved having you there!
(The time went far too fast, I didn't manage to take any action photos at all - I only managed a few 'set-up' pics!!!😅).
During this workshop, the children were introduced to / practiced mindfulness of the breath (balloon🎈 breathing, hot chocolate ☕🍫 breath, rainbow🌈 breath among others).
Together we practiced power posing while reciting positive affirmations (using 'magic word cards' by Louise Shanagher (my mindfulness mentor, teacher & friend😊) & discussing how this made us feel - brave, a little more confident & calm!
Children engaged in several art activities including:
✨ An “I Am…” art activity.
✨ A “Who Supports Me” art activity.
🖍️ Creating colourful affirmation book marks.
🖍️ Free creative time (where children could design whatever they wished using feathers, pom poms, crayons, markers, posca pens, stamps etc
We had a mindfulness scavenger hunt outside in the sensory garden 🐛🦟🐜🌳🌿! Lots of "noticing" & using our senses!
The children listened as I read “Puppy Mind” by Andrew Jordan Nance. We had a gorgeous discussion around our busy minds and how we can tame our busy puppy 🐕 minds!!
Other books present for children to engage with included the gorgeous book 'Magical Me' by Fiona Gubbins and Meaningful Mindful Poetry by Bernie Woods.
We concluded our workshop by playing a game of “mindful musical statues"!

✨ Recently, I had the pleasure of delivering an 'Introduction to Creative Mindfulness' as part of Croke Park hours for a Junior Primary School in Dublin 9 ✨
The teachers, SNAs & staff involved were wishing to introduce & embed mindfulness as part of well-being promotion at their school. It was just so lovely to witness the interest, enthusiasm & joy of those present, who loved learning practices & activities based on the Creative Mindfulness Method by Louise Shanagher 😊.
Alongside this session, staff were also invited to pause & experience short guided meditations & self-compassion practices too - laying the foundation for teaching mindfulness well, beginning with personal practice, rest, restoration & reflection.
To say I thoroughly enjoyed delivering this training, based on the beautiful work of Louise Shanagher, is an understatement!! Thank you so much Louise - I am forever grateful to you for introducing me to Creative Mindfulness (& beyond!)🙏🥰.

✨ As part of well-being promotion at my school, I have been sharing weekly messages/prompts etc on the school's monitors for my school community. Here's this week's message! ✨

🎄Our thought for the week ahead centres around self-belief!🎄
'Just like untangling Christmas lights,
stop worrying about how it will happen…
And, start believing that it will!’
A little self-belief goes a long way.
To help nurture self-belief, notice your self-talk and, if you notice your inner-voice is quite critical (which is very common!) practice saying kind & encouraging words towards yourself.
And, if you are unsure how or where to start, here are a few examples:
“I am doing the best I can”
“My best is enough”
“I've got this”
Say these phrases (or similar phrases that feel right for you) quietly to yourself, a couple of times a day!
In time, you may notice your relationship with yourself change - you may begin to believe in yourself & your abilities, a little bit more.

🌨️🎅Great fun was had at my Crystals & Creative Mindfulness Workshop this morning at the beautiful Acre Project ! 🌨️🎅.
Thank you SO much to all the little ones who attended 🙏.
It was an absolute pleasure to share Creative Mindfulness () with you all!
Crystal exploration & identification featured as part of our morning too!
We practiced mindful listening (using a variety of sound bowls), balloon🎈 breathing, hot chocolate☕ breath, hug breath and rainbow🌈 breath to name a few! We chatted all about our visiting feelings & how mindful breathing can help settle & calm our busy minds & bodies.
Children created their own mini mind jars & added gems & mini diamonds as a reminder of how precious they are. We read the beautiful book - "Where is Happy" by Louise Shanager - book 2 of Louise's gorgeous 'Mindfully Me' series. We practiced affirmative self-talk alongside our breathing practices, to help build confidence, calm & nurture self-worth.
Fresh air was had while outside exploring the sensory garden at The Acre.
Children got to choose crystals to take home along with their creative work, book marks & mini mind jars.
A huge & heartfelt thank you to all who attended 🙏. I am beyond grateful to you all.
Those parting hugs & requests for more workshops filled my heart with happiness!! Thank you all SO much 🥰.
