Earlier last week; our 2nd Years gathered for their final year group assembly of the school year, led by Year Head Ms O’Connor — a chance to reflect on the highs, challenges, memories and growth that came with 2nd year.
The assembly celebrated achievement across the year, recognised subject award winners, acknowledged Student of the Year nominees and introduced our new Spirit of Salesian College Award 🌟
Congratulations to Brian McKenna, recipient of the inaugural Spirit of Salesian College Award, recognising the values, attitude and character that embody the spirit of our school community 👏
A huge congratulations also to Rónán Gorman on being named Overall 2nd Year Student of the Year — a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved 👏
Special recognition was also given to our “Men of the Month” recipients — students who have consistently demonstrated positive behaviour, effort and leadership throughout the year.
A key message throughout the assembly was simple — every minute counts. The habits, attitude and effort students bring each day will shape the important year ahead as students now prepare for 3rd year.
Ms O’Connor encouraged students to look back on how far they have come, while also challenging them to move forward with purpose, maturity and ambition 💙
Well done to all of our 2nd Years on the progress made this year. Enjoy the well deserved break when it comes and best of luck as the journey towards Junior Cycle continues.

Big thanks to Rafa, a computers teacher from Alicante in Spain, who recently came to our school to Job Shadow as part of the Erasmus program. He sat in on some digital technology classes, coding classes and some CAD classes. Thanks, Rafa 🤗 Safe trip home 🇪🇸
