Over the summer, our current 5th yr student - Jack Gilmartin competed at the FISEC Games in Budapest, an international athletics competition featuring schools from across Europe, as well as Brazil and India. 🌎

🥈 2nd place in the 400m
🥇 1st place with the Irish relay team — who also broke the FISEC Games record! 🏅🔥

And to top it all off… 🇮🇪👏

🏆 The Irish Boys’ Team finished 1st overall in the entire competition! 🎉

A fantastic achievement, Jack — congratulations on representing Ireland on the international stage! 💚🤍🧡

🎨 A very special day for Salesian College at the 72nd Children’s Texaco Art Awards, held in the beautiful Druids Glen Hotel last May.

A huge congratulations to Aran Mc Cumiskey; 3rd year student who received a Special Merit Award in the 12–13 Years category. Out of an incredible 18,000 entries nationwide, Aran was one of just 105 young artists recognised with an award.

The final judging was carried out by renowned Irish visual artist, curator and educator Pauline O’Connell, who is pictured here with Aran.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to Aran’s creativity, talent and dedication. We are incredibly proud of him and delighted to see his artistic ability recognised on a national stage.

Well done, Aran! 👏🎨✨

📚 **Book Collection – Tonight**

A reminder to all students and parents/guardians that books will be available for collection this evening!

🕕 1st Years: 6pm-7pm
🕖 2nd & 5th Years: 7pm-8pm

📌 Please note:

*1st and 5th Year students must have paid the €50 book deposit before collecting their books.

No deposit is required for 2nd Year students.

Please bring a large bag or trolley and, where possible, someone to help carry the books.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our 5th year student, David Murphy, who passed away on Friday evening after a bravely fought battle.

David was a kind, caring and gentle young man who brought warmth to those around him. He had a deep love for animals, particularly horses, a passion that found its way into so many of his conversations and was a true reflection of who he was.

David will be greatly missed by his classmates, teachers and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our sincere and heartfelt sympathies to his mam and dad, Olivia and Ciaran, his big brother Jack, and to all his extended family and friends. Our thoughts are with you at this incredibly difficult time. As a school community, we hold you in our hearts and stand with you in your grief.

Taken far too soon, David will always be remembered with great fondness.

May he rest in peace 🕊️❤️
