📣 RETRO RUMMAGE – DATE CHANGE! ♻️🛍️

We’re really sorry, but due to another event taking place in Bailieborough Courthouse on the first weekend of September, we need to postpone our first Retro Rummage until Saturday, 12th September.

📅 NEW DATE: Saturday, 12th September
📍 Bailieborough Courthouse
💶 €5 per table

From October onwards, Retro Rummage will settle into its regular slot on the **first Saturday of every month. 🙌

If you fancy a car-boot-sale vibe indoors, come along to sell, swap, browse and give your pre-loved treasures a new home! ♻️👗📚🧸

✨ Period Poverty Support at Blackwater ✨

We’ve put together period product baskets in our office, with sanitary products available completely free to anyone who needs them.

The baskets are available in both the men’s and women’s bathrooms, helping to make sure that anyone who needs period products can access them discreetly and without having to ask. Just take what you need. 🌸

Period products are a basic necessity, and we want everyone visiting our office and the Bailieborough Business Centre to feel comfortable and supported.

A small initiative that we hope can make a real difference. ❤️

📘 НОВИЙ БЕЗКОШТОВНИЙ РЕСУРС ДЛЯ ПРАЦІВНИКІВ В ІРЛАНДІЇ 🇮🇪

Ми раді представити «Практичний посібник з протидії расизму для працівників в Ірландії», розроблений Blackwater Training у межах програми Pathways to Participation.

Посібник створено, щоб допомогти працівникам - особливо мігрантам та представникам етнічних меншин - знати свої права, розпізнавати дискримінацію та розуміти, куди звертатися по допомогу, якщо вони стикаються з расизмом або несправедливим ставленням на роботі.

У посібнику ви знайдете:

✅ інформацію про расизм і дискримінацію на робочому місці
✅ пояснення ваших прав відповідно до законодавства Ірландії
✅ що робити, якщо ви зіткнулися з дискримінацією або стали її свідком
✅ як повідомити про проблему та подати скаргу
✅ контакти організацій, які можуть надати підтримку
✅ практичні шаблони, контрольні списки та корисну лексику

✨ Travel Opportunity ✨

Our first international training opportunity for 2027 has just been announced! 🇪🇪✈️

We’re delighted to open applications for “The Clown in You”, an international training course taking place in Estonia for youth workers and educators.

🤡 And yes - it really is about clowning!

This training will use clowning, creativity, play and experiential learning to explore new approaches that youth workers and educators can bring into their work with young people. Expect an active, hands-on programme with plenty of opportunities to step outside your comfort zone, connect with participants from across Europe and discover a very different approach to learning.

🇪🇪 Location: Tallinn Estonia
👥 Who: Youth workers & educators
🌍 International Erasmus+ training opportunity
📅 Application deadline: 15 October 2026
✈️ Training takes place from 20-27 January 2027

Applications are being coordinated centrally by the hosting organisation, with Blackwater supporting the selection of participants from our community.

✨20 New Safe Pass Qualifications Achieved!✨

We’re delighted to have supported 20 community members to successfully achieve their Safe Pass qualification, helping them take an important step towards employment and new opportunities within the construction industry.

This training was supported by the Integration Fund of the Department of Justice, enabling us to remove barriers to employment, build practical skills and empower people in our community to progress towards sustainable work.

A huge congratulations to all 20 participants on achieving their qualification! 👏

We were delighted to attend the Virginia Agricultural Show yesterday and to support this fantastic local event by sponsoring two of the Home Industries categories! 🌾🍪

A huge well done to everyone who entered – there were some seriously impressive bakes on display! 👏

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout and to be part of an event that brings so many people from across the community together.
