Child-Led Playgroup – CASTLEREA
(Real snaps from today!) This is a space where kids choose their own activities and play at their own pace – no adult agenda, no forced sharing, no circle time, no directing how to play. What you’re seeing in the photos: Children fully absorbed in their self-chosen play
Adults sitting quietly on the edge, only joining when a child invites me in. (Today I was invited in after 40 minutes)
Cosy side-by-side parallel play and plenty of calm, focused silence.

We keep the group small and peaceful, perfect for autistic & dyspraxic children, sensory seekers/avoiders, late talkers… or any child who just loves gentle, respectful play.Next session this week in Castlerea – a couple of spaces still free!

Give Your Child a Head Start with Six Bricks

Are you looking for ways to support your child’s learning, focus, and social skills outside the classroom? Six Bricks is a fun, simple, and evidence-informed approach that can help your child develop important skills while they play.

What Is Six Bricks?

Six Bricks is a guided play method using six coloured LEGO® DUPLO® bricks (green, red, orange, light blue, dark blue and yellow). With just six bricks, children complete short, structured play activities designed to:

Boost memory, attention, and problem-solving skills

Encourage teamwork, communication, and confidence

Support self-regulation and emotional development

The activities are quick, fun, and suitable for home or small groups, making it easy for parents to add structured, meaningful play into daily routines.

Why Parents Choose Six Bricks

Research shows that structured play like Six Bricks can:

Strengthen thinking and learning skills that help with reading, math, and schoolwork

Build confidence and independence in children who struggle with attention or social interaction

Offer a low-cost, easy-to-use program that can be guided at home after attending sessions by trained facilitators

Provide personalised attention, helping children who need extra support feel successful

Six Bricks is already used in schools and early learning centers around the world, and research shows it makes a positive difference in cognitive, emotional, and social skills.

I am offering private and group sessions in Six Bricks which does not happen outside the school environment very often making it perfect for the homeschooling commmunity as well as for school going children who need a little extra support in a fun way.

I also can use Six Bricks to support children who struggle voicing and explaining their emotions as well as children who need support strengthing their vertical and horizontal midline which is often a challenge for children with dsypraxia. Recently autistic children automatically recieve the a diagnosis of dsypraxia under the autism umbrella as the two are closely intertwined.
