Leanne Anastasi started studying the piano at a young age in Malta obtaining all grade examinations from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She then pursued her studies obtaining the Associate, Licentiate and Fellowship qualifications from the Trinity College of Music, London. Leanne has attended consultation lessons/masterclasses with various local and foreign pianists/musician
s such as Cynthia Turner, Andrew Ball, Michael Laus, Charles Camilleri, Christopher Wiltshire and David Wright. She has also collaborated with various Maltese composers such as the Late Professor Charles Camilleri and Professor Gordon Zammit, having premiered a number of their compositions in Malta and also abroad. Apart from appearing in concerts as solo pianist, Leanne has performed with various ensembles and orchestras such as the ‘St. Paul’s Metropolitan Orchestra’, ‘La Vallette Clarinet Quintet’, ‘Lydeanne Duo’ , ‘The Pleroma’ and ‘The Euphonic Duo’. Anastasi is very sought after as accompanist, appearing with a number of renowned vocalists and instrumentalists. She has performed in most prestigious venues allover Malta and has also participated in a number of festivals in the UK, Italy, Greece and Tunisia. Apart from performing, Leanne has a passion for teaching, and also holds a teaching warrant. She has for the past 30 years successfully entered students for piano practical and theory of music grade and diploma examinations. - Teaching piano practical and theory of music at secondary level (various schools in Malta);
- Pianist at various ballet studios in Malta;
- Piano accompanist/repetiteur at the Malta School of Music.
