🏆⚽ A great day for our team and school! 🎉🎉🎉

We’re delighted with today’s win and incredibly proud of all the players for their hard work, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition.

A special mention to Richard, our mascot for the day, and thank you to all the families and past pupils who came along to support us. Your encouragement meant so much.

🐟🌿 We had a fantastic outing to the river in Grange with the Something Fishy programme! Inland Fisheries Ireland

The pupils enjoyed learning all about fish, water, angling, the environment, and the life cycle of salmon through fun outdoor activities and hands-on experiences. 💙

A big thank you to the Something Fishy team for the visit, the lessons, and for also visiting our school last week. It was a wonderful learning experience for everyone! ✨

🐑🍼 Last month, Lucky Bubbles the little lamb came to visit our school! The children loved meeting him and even got the chance to feed him a bottle. Such a fun and special experience for everyone! 💛

🎨✨ We recently enjoyed a visit to The Model Sligo in Sligo as part of our Creative Schools programme. The pupils explored inspiring artworks and exhibitions, sparking lots of creativity and new ideas — and even got to create their own masterpieces! 💛

🌿✨ A few weeks ago, our Creative Associate Leslie visited us Castlegal National School / Scoil Naomh Mhuire as part of our Creative Schools journey supported by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon The children used materials from our forest area along with colourful decorations to create their own unique creative sticks.

These wonderful creations have now found a new home in our hallway for everyone to enjoy and admire! 💛🎨

🌿🧺 As part of our Creative Schools initiative, by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon programme, we were delighted to welcome Helena Golden The Willow Woman to our school Castlegal National School / Scoil Naomh Mhuire

All pupils had the chance to create their own willow basket using sustainably grown willow, learning traditional weaving skills and connecting with nature along the way.

The children loved making a sustainable product that can be used and reused in countless ways! ✅

A big thank you also to the parents who joined us for this wonderful workshop. 💛✨
