We were delighted to visit the Emigrant Park - Kiltimagh last week, a wonderful example of community in action for nature. This is something that could be replicated in towns and villages across Ireland. Thank you to the volunteers for showing us around. It is well worth a visit. Popped into the Folk Café afterwards which holds regular music sessions, even on a Friday morning.

Due to large demand our leaving cert and junior cert ecology is fully booked out for 2023. We will be taking bookings for 2024 from September 19th for secondary school ecology visits with dates available between March 19th to May 24th.
For National Schools,
We will soon be sending out information for our "call of the Wild roadshow " outreach sessions in the coming weeks that will see our team from the Ballycroy Visitor Centre take nature to the national schools in Mayo over the Winter and early Spring months. Also we will be taking end of the year national school nature visits bookings to the Visitor Centre here in Ballycroy.

To celebrate we will be taking on Nephin Beg in the heart of on Sunday July 30th, starting at 9.30am. Most of this walk is off track, but you will be rewarded with experiences of some of the most remote lands in Ireland. Still a few spaces available!

This walk is considered strenuous. Good fitness is a must and appropriate rainwear, boots and supplies (packed lunch + 2L water) are essential.
