Stepping Stones Pre-School first opened in 2006 and since then the pre-school has enjoyed great success. Stepping Stones is the first Pre-School in Co. Mayo to receive a Green Flag, which was awarded to the Pre-School in 2009. The pre-school is of a very high standard with unique areas of interest for the children to enjoy. Areas of interest reading area, home corner, art and crafts area, table to
p area, dress up area, construction and sand and water. The pre-school has a new large enclosed play area outside, which is very well equipped with swings, playhouse, tunnel, see saw and bikes, along with small toy to play games with. The pre-school is located in beautiful country area which in its self enriches the children's learning. The pre-school is part of the Early Childhood Care and Education scheme. For children to be eligible for the scheme they must be aged between 2year and 7 months and 3 years and 8 months on the 1st of September on the year attending the pre-school. Children can start with us when they are 2 years and 8 months. If your child is not eligible for the Early Childhood Care and Education scheme your child can still avail of the Pre-School.
