The sun 🌞 came out this morning to welcome all our incoming 1st Yr boys as they began their first day as PHS students. The boys met all their teachers, received all their books and class materials and spent more time getting to know one another. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!🔵🟡🔵🟡

A huge congratulations to all of our Leaving Certificate students who received their results today. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and of the hard work, commitment and determination that brought you to this point. Among many excellent results, 16 of our students achieved over 500 points, with two achieving over 600 points — a fantastic accomplishment and one of which they can be extremely proud.

Today marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of an exciting new one. We wish each of you every success and happiness as you take your next steps, wherever they may lead.

And remember, no set of results defines your future. There are more pathways and opportunities available than ever before, and many different routes can lead to the same destination. Whatever today brought, look forward with confidence and excitement — your future is full of possibilities.

And that's a wrap on the PHS Summer Programme 2026!

It's been a hugely enjoyable two weeks, and we've loved having the opportunity to get to know our new 1st Yrs before the school year begins. Along the way, the boys have made new friends, picked up plenty of useful knowledge about life at PHS and, we hope, are now feeling ready and excited for the big adventure ahead.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the programme such a success, and especially to the boys themselves for embracing the experience so positively.

It's been another brilliant start to the second week of the PHS Summer Programme.

On Monday, all our incoming 1st Yrs enjoyed a fantastic team-building day at Castle Lake, while on Tuesday our Week 2 boys were back at PHS, getting to know one another and exploring the school and its facilities.

The boys have settled in incredibly well and have already impressed us with their confidence, good humour and positive attitude.🔵🟡🔵🟡

Our first PHS Summer Programme came to a close today, bringing to an end a fantastic week for our incoming 1st Yr students.

The boys threw themselves into every activity, settled in brilliantly, and were a credit to themselves throughout the week. We hope they head home with plenty of happy memories and are looking forward to returning to PHS later this month.

The PHS Summer Programme has been in full swing this week as we welcomed our incoming 1st Yr students to the school!

The boys have been busy meeting teachers and staff, finding their way around the building, trying out new activities, learning new skills, and, most importantly, making new friends while having plenty of fun along the way.

They have been a fantastic group—enthusiastic, polite, and eager to get involved in everything. We hope they've enjoyed their first taste of life at PHS, and we can't wait to welcome them back as full members of the PHS community later this month. 🔵🟡🔵🟡

The happy sailors on board ships PHS1B and 1D enjoyed their final history class of the year on Friday when they entered into a competition organised by Captain Tinnelly to see who could build the best caravel ship. Congratulations to the winners - great fun was had by all and we wish them the best as they set sail on their summer adventures. ⛵⚓

We finished the school year on a high note in PHS as we held the winners’ draw for our Parents’ Association Summer Draw! There was great excitement as the lucky winners were revealed, while the students who sold tickets over the past few weeks were also entered into a special draw and received €50 Chamber of Commerce vouchers as a thank you for their fantastic efforts.

A huge thank you to everyone who sold a line, bought a line, or contributed towards the incredible prizes on offer. Your support makes a real difference, with all proceeds going directly towards student support services in the school. A big thanks to our Parents' Association for organising everything and to Lynda and Tracy for helping with the draw today.
